Having been born, raised, educated, and practicing professionally in the Medical Systems of the USA, it was a goal of mine to bring the western medical healthcare standards of patient centric care and vision to the Arab world. I moved to the GCC in 1999 as the Chief of Staff – Spine and Joints Unit at a network of Medical Centers and operated many thirty to fifty room Surgical Hospitals, Day Surgery and Specialized Medical Centers in the MENA & GCC region. Training physicians and para-medicals on the latest practice management systems as well as medical protocols.

Alliance Medical reached the status as a top healthcare provider for many years, having a reputation for the highest medical services in the UAE. As COO of Novomed Centers in the UAE, directly managing hundreds of employees in the UAE and around the GCC region. Establishing and implementing of RCM, ERP, HIS/EMR and CRM. Having also directed a team of marketing specialists for branding of Novomed Centers in the UAE. Heavy emphasis on digital marketing, SEO and social media with direct link to regional influencers. We organized the official inaugural launch event at the Burj Khalifa with top dignitaries and government officials, media and celebrities. Recruited directly by the CEO of Rayhan Medical in Qatar was my challenge in the GCC region. RMC needed a leader that could bridge the gap between the doctors, operations

& admin. RMC had a name in the market but was not well organized internally, from insurance, medical and surgical services, and operations. This was the focus initially that myself and my team have proudly set a strong policies and standards in place during this last year’s pandemic. The exponential growth of the healthcare industry and services in Qatar is the highest in the GCC, projected through 2024. Since 2011 I have been involved with incorporating and utilizing anti-aging and reverse aging treatments. Soon becoming known as a regional pioneer in the field of Regenerative Medicine combined with a traditional medical approach. A focus on Orthopedics, anti- aging/reverse aging, and Aesthetics, becoming an established key opinion leader in SVF cell therapy and Platelet Rich Plasma.

As the newly appointed COO back in March 2020 when I was initially offered the position and lock-down had just hit the Gulf Nations and was forced to work remotely till April 2020 when travel to Qatar was opened. Working, coaching, and leading RMC's teams to bring the facilities to the forefront of private healthcare delivery services in Qatar. I was excited at the opportunities for expansion and growth, both physically and services offered at RMC. Tackling the Revenue Cycle Management was the next most important step. Establishing and implementing RCM, ERP, HIS/EMR and CRM internally. Meetings and negotiations with Insurance providers and TPA's for addition of new services, restructure the billing and receivables as well as lowering rejections. We managed to reduce the rejection rate to 5% or lower in a very short period as well as recovering many previous rejections. Largest challenge was working with financial capital consultants to assist me in restructuring of the company’s previous years of debits. In parallel improving the cost of goods and reduction of ongoing operational expenses, setting KPI's as well as optimization of the supply chain for improving cash flow. My vision for Rayhan Medical Complex was to make it a healthcare destination and an institution meeting the highest standards of healthcare in a friendly environment with ethical and transparent medical practices and a culture of care and compassion.
