Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I have a Master’s degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor’s degree in Education with Mathematics and Economics as my teachable subjects. All degrees were recognized By World Evaluation Services and I have applied for an Ontario Certification of Teachers (Registration number: 715996). I taught intermediate Mathematics and Economics in India as well as in Canada. I am passionate about teaching and over my many years of teaching in both India and Canada I was able to try various strategies and implement creative lessons when working with my students.
I have extensive experience working in diverse work environments, specifically with students from many different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. In Canada, I have worked at multiple educational institutes over the past two years including various companies for tutoring (Sylvan Learning Centre - Oakville and Mississauga, and scholar academy, Brampton). I have experience teaching in person and online. I am proficient at using multiple different online platforms, including Zoom, Google meets and Google Classrooms. In India, I taught Mathematics for two and half years at the school level.
Having the opportunity to instruct students over several years both in the Indian school system and at a variety of other teaching experiences in Canada, I have become increasingly adept at collaborating with colleagues, and providing students the opportunity to connect their background experiences to my program. I incorporate essential life skills including problem solving, communication, and higher order thinking into lessons so that students can become life-long learners and make a positive contribution to society.
