• Finalising the specification of materials; ensuring that the stock value is kept at the lowest practical level to economize the use of working capital, and to minimize the cost of storage.
• Assessing physical layout of warehouse/stores for storage of materials & consumables and ensuring smooth accounting, issue of material to production sites.
• Adhering to all applicable safety rules and regulations overall stocking materials in warehouse.
• Ensuring monthly spare parts dispatch as per planning, monthly inventory control (ITR) report & non moving -slow moving reports.
Logistics:
• Monitoring, planning and controlling the inbound/outbound logistics process involving handling the flow of goods & services, warehousing, transportation, packaging, shipment and import clearance, etc.
• Sustaining / building the logistics network to ensure timely distribution of the merchandise, monitoring availability of stock as well as making appropriate arrangements to ensure on time deliveries.

Vendor Development:
• Assessing the performance of the vendors based on various criterions such as percentage for rejections, quality improvement rate, timely delivery, credit terms, etc.
