Africa (Nairobi, Kitale, Kisumu, Bungoma) 08/2018

Experienced a shoe for orphan souls’ trip with Buckner International. Visited many different cities throughout Africa for two and half weeks and was able to bless thousands of children with new shoes.

Delivered thousands of children new shoes and put on a Vacation Bible School at every location we visited.

Achieved a new perspective and achieved the opportunity to see a first world country versus third world country.

Europe: Ukraine (Chernihiv, Lyubotyn) 07/2018

Traveled on a vision trip with Lifesong for Orphans to determine the needs of the local people so that our church could send teams to meet those needs. Also was able to build relationships with the children who were orphans, foster children and/or underprivileged children at a summer camp.

Increased personal awareness of lack of resources.

Latin America: Honduras (San Pedro Sula) 06/2010, 06/2011, 07/2013

Mission trip to Honduras with Buckner Orphan Care International. Our group led two Vacation Bible Schools each day and led spiritually impactful sports camps.

Worked at three specific locations: Nueva Esperanza (government run orphanage), Las Brisas (private school), and Buckner Transitional Home.

Recognized the differences of running toilets and affordability in a third world country versus America.

LEADERSHIP

Student Leadership University 101 and 201 07/16 – 07/17

A leadership conference that takes place in San Antonio (101) and Washington D.C. (201) that is by invitation only. Many speakers from around the country come and talk about what it means to be a leader in the world we live in today.

Increased personal knowledge of the effort and ability it takes to become a strong leader in the world today.

Developed full awareness that hard work allows many opportunities in life.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Vacation Bible School (Houston’s First Baptist Church) 06/2014, 06/2015, 06/2016, 06/2017

Primary instructor that volunteered to help in Vacation Bible School and served hundreds of children daily by caring for their needs and sharing the gospel.

Served in the preschool for two years, then second and third grade.

Legacy 685 (Houston’s First Baptist Church) 2015, 2016, 2017

The organization is an adoption, foster care and orphan care ministry for the church and broader community. Events were ongoing throughout the year which gave many opportunities to serve.

Volunteered for conferences and other events the organization held.

Church Missions (Houston’s First Baptist Church) 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018

Served in many ways at Houston’s First Baptist Church.

Mission trip to Panama City Beach where we partner with different churches around the city and students evangelize, perform manual labor, hold community block parties, and minister to the community.

Volunteered in a ministry called Thru the Roof that the church offers to children of all ages with special needs. Ensured that the children are loved and cared for while the parents attend Bible study.

Participated in Mission 1:8 which is a mission trip to underserved communities in Houston, Texas. Through Mission 1:8 we were able to impact those in our surrounding communities. Led VBS played games with underprivileged children.

JOBS

Retail Women’s Apparel (Houston, Texas) 10/2019- 12/2022

Worked at a women’s boutique in Houston, Texas called Lily Rain. Worked as a Sales Associate and overseeing restocking items, human interaction, store organization, and assisting customers.

Improved communication skills along with customer satisfaction.

Organization skills were grown in a variety of ways when working as a Sales Associate.

ACTIVITIES/ INTEREST

Baylor Running Club (Waco, Texas) 10/2020- 04/2021

Participated in Baylor running club weekly, which consisted of long runs, short runs, and races among the group.

The club allowed community and mentorship from older Baylor students.

Working Out (Waco, Texas) 06/2017- CURRENT

Actively goes to gym daily to stay in shape and runs in free time.
