ALM Hopewell Center provides comprehensive mental health services to children and adults in the northern and central parts of the City of St. Louis and North St. Louis City. A professional mental health staff serves a growing 4000 clients with mentally illness and suffering from a behavioral health disorder. ALM Hopewell Center is a division of the People’s Health Center’s Family of Corporations that include physical health, community action, and behavioral health services offered to underserved populations.
Position: Chief Behavioral Health Officer
Report to: Chief Executive Officer; Direct reports; Vice President of Behavioral Health Services, Program Directors and Compliance, and Medical Director. Areas of oversight include all clinical programs and services including Adult, Children and Adolescent, Outpatient, and Residential Services, Function as the Chief responsible for all Hopewell behavioral health services and operations with an operating agency budget of 18 million.

BJC Behavioral Health (St. Louis, MO) 07/2017- 07/2019
BJC Behavioral Health is one of the largest community mental health centers in Missouri. Provides and coordinates an array of mental health services for citizens residing in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and the counties of St. Francois, Iron and Washington, Missouri with over 7000 clients. BJC serves as the point of entry for people eligible for services funded through the Missouri Department of Mental Health, and we also provide services under some health plans and grants.
Position: Director of Clinical Operations
Report to: Vice President of Behavioral Health; Direct reports; Associate directors of Adult Services, Children and Adolescent Services, Residential Services, and Outpatient Services with oversight responsibilities of over 450 clinical staff. Behavioral Health Services, Program Directors. Provide overall direction and leadership for activities and operations (including clinical operations) in accordance with the strategic plan and objectives, internal and external credentialing and regulatory requirements, and evidence based practice standards.
Key Accomplishments:
Developed, implemented the AFFIRM program- Transition Age Young Adults services and the Synergy Residential Services program for MI adults, and Thrive co-occurring services, added a children’s services team, and implemented BJC Behavioral Health’s Transition-Age Youth Assertive Community Treatment program.
Transitioned the agency from location based management to service line management

Increased the overall budget by over 1 million yearly by implementation of new programs and services and improving agency efficiency. (From 10-18 million approx.)

Department of Mental Health (Jefferson City, MO) 02/2009- 06/2012
The Division of Behavioral Health (DBH), formerly the Divisions of Alcohol and Drug Abuse and Comprehensive Psychiatric Services, is responsible for making sure prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services are available for individuals and families that need public mental health services throughout the State of Missouri.
Position: Compliance and System Management Coordinator
Report to: Policy Director; Direct reports; Billing and Service Review team of auditors, 2 program managers. Central Office Policy team that work with policies, standards, and core rules for the State of Missouri in regard to monitoring community behavioral health programs and services; Oversee and supervise the fiscal monitor team for services billed to Medicaid and DMH.

Burrell Behavioral Health is the second largest behavioral health center in Missouri, working with more than 40,000 clients across 17 counties in Missouri. Burrell provides services to 2 regional areas; Springfield service area and Columbia service area. Burrell has approximately 150 licensed providers that offer a full continuum of care through our integrated network. Services include individual therapy and counseling, addiction recovery, psychiatric and medication management, educational and a variety of other behavioral health services.

Burrell Transitions is a department that provides a comprehensive array of services to adult individuals with behavioral health disorders.
Key Accomplishments:
Developed, implemented and managed the rehabilitation services and facility-based residential programs including two Semi-Independent Apartment Programs, Start Living group home, Independent Apartment Program, an intensive housing/community support program called Transition and Training, and the Clifton Apartment (HUD Section 811 program)
Trained staff and persons served on benefits management (SSI, SSD, Medicaid, Medicare) Was the trainer for the agency for 12 years.

Oversee, manage, and coordinate the programmatic components of residential and psychosocial rehab services, provide on call and crisis management services, oversee and manage the facility operations for the three facilities, programs, and services.

Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation is a nonprofit agency working to alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty in the Ozarks. OACAC offers services including Family Planning, Foster Grandparent program, housing assistance, energy assistance LIHEAP, Weatherization, poverty simulation, Neighborhood Centers, and Head Start programs.
