Responsibilities
I was in charge of a plastic extruder that had cnc equipment mainlining all materials in and off a football length assembly line . All temperatures, all quality, all line adjustments on the molten plastic were my responsibility. Shutdowns, changeovers, and most preventative maintenance fell on my shift after 2 months . I did quality inspections via radio and paper and pen at my desk took notes on what was done on my machine on a 12 hour shift every 2 hours doing a 20 point quality inspection in lab area. I was able to keep my machine running 33% more output on day to day operations with a major decrease of 58% less downtime during changeovers then all other shifts in our plant department. I operated 2-4 high speed 4 axis or more hub inner and outer turning machines . l had to stock and unload machine, 100% vision inspection of each part off every machine I operated during a shift. Hourly quality inspections that I had to use the data from to adjust the machine and control the over all quality control of the machine. I was responsible for reaching my hourly quota, all tool changes and adjustments allowed to a operator without a technicians assistance if not permission. After 4 months I became the 3 rd shift trainer and in getting the title I also received 2-4 more machines responsibility due to a shadowing teaching technique.
Accomplishments
I would like to think that my impact was the company creating a position of higher pay called a trainor. And once I left the rest of the employees from then on got uniform and proper training for the job asked of them .
