Working with Covid in the ICU
San Antonio, TX 78255
********.**@*****.***
From feb 2020 to july 2020 2nd i worked SICU covid unit in New York... It was as it was seen on the news, sad, often putting me. Up against everything I stood for as a nurse. Partly overwhelming, but forcing me and others to rely on our icu proactive thinking to put fires out before they began, the time spent there had its impact upon me psychologically, I did my best to make final days more comfortable. I came through t he experience with a greater respect for my profession than i ever had. 1. With loyalty and dedication, i have cared for a lot of people in their moments of vulnerability and fear. I have
earned a trusting reputation with the physicians i have worked with, by truly caring for people, making the correct
judgement, and within my scope of practice, being autonomous. In the critical care setting i cannot stress enough
that the gut feeling is correct, this takes time to develop and also where the importance of having experienced staff
who can make judgement calls based on a feeling whilst also educating less experienced nurses, about what i know.
I am always ready to learn so any area i cannot explain, i will find the correct answer. Willing to relocate: Anywhere
Authorized to work in the US for any employer
