Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing personal care with both dignity and respect
Ensuring hygiene in food and the environment
Maintenance of hygiene and personal care
Preserve independence and dignity and provide mental stimulation by engaging in games, conversations
Washing and changing linen, clothes, assisting in timeous medication taking
Promoting, restoring, and maintaining maximum level of comfort
Assisting in bathing, changing, and disposing of adult diapers as per progression of disease.
Working with home care nurses and providing them with information regarding to day-to- day individualized care plan
Delivering emotional and practical care to vulnerable adults and transforming their lives on a daily basis.
Applying safe Manual Handling techniques at all times.
Maintaining accurate and informative daily
administrative records for all residents.
Helping patients to access and use toilet facilities.
Dispensing and administering medications as directed by medical providers and family members.
Ensuring that all clinical equipment is maintained in a safe, clean and fully functional state.
Monitoring clients’ conditions by taking their
temperature, pulse, respiration and weigh.
Visiting patients in their own homes to support them.
Working with colleagues to deliver integrated care.
Acting promptly and appropriately to protect service users from neglect or abuse.
Encouraging clients to participate in social and recreational activities.
