Personal Statement

Having worked for more than 30 years in related positions, I have gained a wide variety of knowledge and transferable skills related to the Mechanical Engineering industry, particularly in relation to working with all types of machinery, supporting colleagues and leading teams to meet deadlines. In my current and previous employment, I have been responsible for stock, ordering parts, health and safety of other members of staff, and both my own time management and that of others. Those with whom I currently work, and have worked in the past, would describe me as a hard working individual, who is extremely reliable, who is able to work as part of a team or on my own initiative whenever possible, and is willing to do his best in any job he is asked to do.

I also repaired and maintained the first D9T machine in Scotland for one year during 2005. I have a full clean driving licence.
