STAFF PHARMACIST FLOATER IMMUNIZER CVS HEALTH 2020 - 2022

Hired as a full-time staff pharmacist floater in March, 2020, in District 61-1 West Texas. Within hours of my deployment to begin my field training in Amarillo, Texas, my loving and always supportive wife refused to move 410 miles from Dallas, Texas especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Supportively, until a similar Staff Pharmacist Floater position became available in the Dallas/Fort Worth market area, the CVS Talent Acquisition Management Team offered me the opportunity, which I accepted, to join the standby Covid-19 Emergency Response Team to temporarily cover open shifts in the New Orleans, LA area due to pharmacists being stricken ill within this Covid-19 hot spot.

Assigned as a full-time CVS pharmacist immunizer on December 15, 2020 to administer Covid19 vaccines to the most vulnerable population in nursing homes and extended care facilities but tested positive as having Covid-19; became ill and subjected to extended quarantine as a result.

Completed 49 ACPE approved CPE hours. Becoming a Certified Pharmacy-Based Immunizer; Advocate for Human Trafficking Prevention; Training in CPR and PMP management.

WORK SABATICAL COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER 2014 - 2019

Deliver and donate clothing, hygiene products, and food items to local homeless shelters to support the physical and emotional needs of persons living in homeless shelters.

Participate in Pharmacy Continuing Education training, Certifications, educational, and professional development activities as required by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

After nearly twenty years of working six to seven days per week for eight up to twelve hours per day to finance the professional education of our four wonderful children, I decided to take a work break.

STAFF PHARMACIST FLOATER WALMART 2007 - 2014

Served as floating Staff Pharmacist overseeing and managing pharmacy teams filling several thousand prescriptions per week across multiple stores in Texas experiencing staffing shortages.
