Managed the completion of long haul fiber optics systems between Sacramento, CA to Salt Lake City UT and Reno, NV to Las Vegas, NV (700+ miles).

Fiber optics moves due to NDOT road expansions and ROW issues.

In-building coverage, macro cell, and DAS systems using VoIP systems for back-haul.

All installations used SCADA system protocols to report vitals and alarms to the switch, management, and site technicians. Alarms were filtered so unnecessary call out were not required.

Nokia – Western Canada 12/2008 – 10/2013

Project Manager (DAS-New Builds-MW-WIFI-WIMAX- Camera Systems)

Responsibilities were to process site surveys, schedule and coordinate site visits, manage the implementation and development of construction drawings.

Assigned and scheduled A&E and contractor services. Approved drawings to 100%.

Budgeted, POs, scheduled bid walks, requested quotes, and assigned work to contractors.

Ordered materials, work orders, and permits as required.

Reviewed radio design, ordered radios, managed the installation, integration, and commissioning of the radio systems.

Managed and coordinated microwave (MWoIP and T1) crews and commissioning techs for path analysis equipment ordering, installations, integration, and commissioning.

Processed close-out documents and turned over sites to the customer.

140 Microwave HOPs were installed for the Wind Mobile build-out along with over 1500 radios.

All utilities were designed for 250 locations.

Managed zoning and site acquisition issues for the Shaw build-out and DAS Build-outs.

Personally worked with municipalities to process zoning, utility, construction, engineering drawings, and permitting.

Managed all phases of PMO and PM duties for 75 sites of a 500 site build.

Managed 15 DAS system installations in malls, universities, community centers, underground path systems and high rise buildings. Negotiated design packages, landlord negotiations, security, and regulatory compliances.

All of the DAS sites used VoIP and/or fiber systems to back-haul to the switch.

The switch used ACD and IVR systems with SIP VoIP applications to route customer and site issues to the proper responders and department heads.

Managed installation for the City of Grande Prairie’s city wide WiMAX system with a Wi-Fi overlay including tower construction, utility design, radio design, microwave design, equipment and cabinet design, and installation and closeout of all.

All base stations were connected with Microwave (MWoIP) to the City Hall switch.

UPS battery back was designed for remote sites.

Connected the Wi-Fi, traffic lights, and camera systems through the WiMAX networks.

Worked with the city to address all licensing of radios, FAA, and tower registrations.

Nokia Siemens Networks – Toronto, ON, Canada 12/2008 – 10/2013

Construction Manager

Project Management responsibilities were to process (TSS) Technical Site Surveys, schedule and coordinate site visits, manage the implementation and development of construction drawings, engineer utilities (fiber and power) to the sites (raw law and in-building) as required, review and order radio and microwave equipment, assign and schedule A&E and contractor services, generate SOWs and BOMs, schedule bid walks, request quotes and assign work to contractors, issue POs, order materials, work orders, and permits as required, manage and coordinate with microwave crews and commissioning (MWoIP). 300 sites were engineered.

PM the construction of cell sites, DAS, and macro-cell sites through closeout. SCADA was used for reporting and maintenance of the system. 50 sites were constructed.

Office telephone systems were VoIP with ACD and IVR protocols.

Attended as speaker (Conference Calls) to condo meetings, church meetings, and safety Code 6 meetings as required.

Clearwire – Las Vegas, NV 12/2007 –12/2008

Construction Manager

Project manager responsible for the coordination and management of vendors for the Clearwire Network.

This included site design and development, Power, Telco (utilities), MW path analysis, engineering installation, integration, and commissioning, SOWs, BOMs, radio equipment reviews, orders, installations, integrations and commissioning, CDs, site construction, site close out, cost verification, PO closeouts and approvals, and system implementation. Over 400 MW hops and 500 radios were installed.

SCADA was used to report and maintain the system.

Worked closely with the A&E, zoning, and local municipalities to streamline the process.

Set up meetings with the county engineering office and local A&E firms to change the way CDs were being reviewed, processed, and approved. Objective was to save money within a budget due to time management.

VoIP with ACD and IVR was used for the multiple offices and Call center. Cubes in call center also had UPS backup.

Installed generator backup to the call center AC/DC power systems at all site.

Cricket Communications 9/2007 – 11/2007

Project Manager (IC)

Network Development through zoning of 118 sites in Mobile, AL.

Developed the site designs, utility designs, radio and MW designs, switch design, civil design, CDs, and permits.

Pulled off the Alabama project to take over a critical Phase II launch that was having trouble in Arizona. Launched the remaining 25 sites in 21 days. SCADA was used for reports and maintenance.

Some of these sites had to have a second lease put in place with temporary utility designs and at the same time design the permanent sites, utilities, radio, MW, and civil design.

Managed the Site acquisition and site surveys of additional leases to make launch.

Set up the office and warehouse with a VoIP phone system with ACD and IVR protocols.

Pulled individuals together as a team to complete the tasks. Always coordination of manpower, materials management, and a good SOW that make a project successful.

Clearwire – Las Vegas, NV 06/2005 – 9/2007

Construction Manager (IC)

Managed site development to construct cell sites which included site acquisition, microwave design, site design, utility design, CDs, POs, bid processes, purchasing, manage and track site construction, quality control, site punch walks, and sign offs.

SCADA was used to report and maintain the system.

Worked to help match local codes with the Clearwire standards in a cooperative with local municipalities. Worked with Nevada Power on Utility design, CD handoff procedures, and installation. Focus was timelines, budget, and forecasting.

Involved with leasing, zoning, permitting, A&E, and special projects.

Special projects were remote office and warehouse installation, office equipment and telephone systems, VoIP with ACD and IVR protocols. MPLS pacs were used to connect inter office networks.
