With the 5 years operation at Lafourche Sugar the following capital project completed 1. Upgrade the 50 ton cane crane to VFD and Radio controls. 2. Upgrade to the knife turbine 2500 HP and increase numbers of cane knives. 3. Modification to the Cane shredder preparation Index. 4. Upgrade low speed gear drives from 900 Hp to 1500 HP. 5. Introduction on Perforated Rollers on each mill. (Maximum efficiency on extraction)

6. Modification to the six mills with lowest Bagasse pol. (1.35 %) 7. Change on main steam pressure pipes to utilize mass balance. 8. Exhaust piping upgrade from mills to processing house. 9. Major retro fit on the boilers design to cope with cogeneration power to grid. 10. Installed main steam chest for all boilers steam efficiency. 11. Upgrade evaporators capacity form 24K to 36K surface heat capacity. 12. General area improvement to sugar pans control (Siemen) 13. Upgrade to crystallizer, sugar, molasses storages and Drives 14. Modification to Juice Heater- Temperature Control (introduced Pre juice heater) 15. Changes and expansion made to pumps, gear drive and equipment to improve on efficiency and recovery
