I have served in a variety of positions with the main responsibilities as a psychiatric physician assistant and the main medical provider of the hospital. In the psychiatric capacity I am responsible as the lead PA to ensure unit coverage is arranged in the absence of a provider to provide continuous patient care. I am there to assist with any questions regarding medical treatment or standards of procedures. I do admissions, manage patients care including medication management, work closely with the social worker to maintain communication with the patient's guardian, lead the treatment team to ensure all aspects of care are being met and meet with the patient on a routine basis to ensure they are achieving treatment goals.
