Conduct workplace inspections, to ensure that safe Working methods and safety measures are in place.
Rules and regulations are maintained and adhered to, with authority to introduce alternative Arrangements for improvements when applicable and if considered necessary.
At all-time possess authority to instruct labors to remove/relocate materials, equipment’s or to rectify any hazardous situation.
Maintain an adequate system of investigation, reporting and keeping of Records of accidents, incidents and any dangerous occurrence as per regulations.
Keep up to date all relevant Health, Safety and Environment rules and regulations. Guidance notes and safety procedures etc. for reference and to provide or make recommendations regarding the Application to the site management.
Obtain and maintain any specific items of specialist safety equipment that may require.
Assist in the production of safe system of work and procedures that may be required for specific task or operations.
Conduct and document the required training and safety induction for the workforce prior to joining the site.
Conduct the Tool Box Talk (TBT) and Highlight all hazards and the Safety Issues as per progress of work.
Plan and maintain safe access to and around places of work. Establish and maintain a system of security to prevent, damage, theft, and injury including periods when the work is unattended.
Ensure all plant & equipment are to be well maintained, check the suitability of the above for work from time to time.
Ensure that all Equipment/Machinery are operated by authorized and competent personnel.
Ensure that arrangement for First Aid is available on site. To ensure that proper care is taken in case of casualties. To establish procedure to be followed in the event of serious injury including the means of obtaining medical and ambulance services to the place of accident. Liaise with the fire bridge on fire prevention and rescue procedures, especially when hazardous situation are foreseen.
Report all accidents involving injury to persons or damage to property and other dangerous occurrences and “near misses” to the site management, immediately. Investigate the cause of all such incidents and thereafter to rectify the deficiencies to prevent reoccurrence with the help of site management.
Weekly Safety Reports of site should be prepared and submitted to the Site management for onward submission to the consultants.
