Over twenty (20) years comprehensive background that includes operating company and engineering contractor EPC, both Greenfield and Brownfield work experience in Instrumentation Design and Engineering, had been involved in several Offshore and Onshore Upstream, Downstream project assignment in the field of oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, plant of Saudi Arabian Oil Company (ARAMCO), Saudi Consolidated Electric Company (SCECO), Petrolera Ameriven, Citgo Petroleum Corporation, Tengizchevroil (TCO), ConocoPhillips, Woodside Energy Ltd., Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Ltd, Trafigura- Iso Octane and Dubai Petroleum (offshore oil fields exploration and production (E&P) design projects. Using computer application such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, PDS 3D modeling, INtools using of its own standard.

Prepare, review, checking and mark-ups of instrumentation and control system engineering design deliverables such as location plan, loop diagrams, wiring termination diagrams, hookup drawings, I/O lists, instrument index, cable schedules, instrument installation details and associated list of materials. Conduct plant survey onshore and offshore, inspection for modification and revisions of existing drawings for as-building and installation of new design.

CONTROL SYSTEM DESIGNER

Dubai Petroleum (Fixed Platform) - Operating the offshore oil fields exploration and production of Dubai, scope includes four fields: Fateh, Southwest Fateh, Falah and Rashid. Fateh has processing facilities, gas lift compression, a waterflood facility and the world's unique underwater storage facility with its storage vessels called “Khazzans”. Crude oil is loaded onto the tankers berthing at Fateh Field through our Single Point Mooring System (SPM). Southwest Fateh is the second largest DP oil field, with its own water injection and gas lift facilities. Oil production is transferred by pipeline to the Fateh Field for storage and export. The other two fields are the Falah Field, and the Rashid Field.

Role and Duties:

Provide detail design support in Systems discipline (instrumentation) for implementing Company Engineering projects and other day to day Operations design/drafting needs, project as-built and engineering drawing management.

Systems design/drafting scope includes, all instrumentation design deliverables, controls, SAFE Charts, Loop diagrams/hook-up drawings, safety plans etc. Generate drawings using AutoCAD software; conducts site survey for project design and as-built.

Plan work assignments from work scope/Change Approval Forms “CAFs” received from project engineers or team lead and analyze design/drafting requirements after considering all aspects of the proposed work. Verify design proposals, gather design data and information, and prepare design study and proposal in compliance with established standards and specifications, HSSEQ guidelines, site survey for design optimization. Produce detailed project design drawings, Bill of Material (BOM) and other project documentation. Prepare detailed final project materials take off, participate in offshore dimension checks to ensure design/dimensions accuracy before fabrication. Liaise with other discipline designers to resolve interference issues. Take responsibility for project drawings filing and drawing record updating using company database Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) - Livelink. Ensure all project drawings are accountable and maintained up to date. Assist construction/field operation personnel and members of other departments to retrieve and interpret drawings held in file. As-built project drawings for CAF closure. Take responsibility for continuous self knowledge of Company offshore facilities and process, Engineering Standards and Procedures.

Provide Soft Switch (SOV-Solenoid Valve) Water Leg LCV-112 & LCV-151 in New DCS

Responsible to design Soft Switch (SOV-Solenoid Valve). These LCVs are operated manually when level in the vessel can not controlled in emergency situations. The production specialist who operates these valves from the field can not see the actual level in the vessel and has to depend on the feedback from the DCS operator in Control room. So SOVs installed in the field and connected to the respective DCS digital output to help the operator to open the valve opening (on-off action) from the control room.

Fateh Fields - K2 and AFP Platform DCS Upgrade Project

Offshore fixed platform - Scope of work is DCS system on Fateh Fields have reached the end of their useful and supportable life spans. The existing DCS system performs both control and safety functions. It is intended to split these functions between a new DCS and a new SIS (ESD) system. As the System Designer, my responsibilities is to developed the existing and new design Instrument deliverables base on scope of work, including conduct offshore plant site survey.

It is a detailed designed joint venture comprising Chiyoda Corporation and Technip France and a work sharing with Technip Abu Dhabi. Project located in Ras Laffan, State of Qatar. Responsibilities include 3D modeling of all offline instruments, calculation, sizing, and design of the main instrument cable tray layout, Fire and Gas, Telecoms using PDS-Raceway module application, extraction of instrument location plan from 3D to 2D drawings using drawing manager with all design deliverables.

It is a FPSO (Floating Production Storage Offloading) engineering and design project joint venture work split between Fluor AMEC- Perth, Australia as a lead office and Fluor Daniel, Inc.-Philippines or (Global Execution Centre). This project located at National Development Area, North Western of Australia. Work scope is to develop Topside, Hull Loop Drawings (develop field junction boxes, create/connect field, homerun cables, assign I/O cards, cross wire tool to create internal panel wiring) using INtools 6.0 application, generation of Loop Diagram into Enhance Smart Loop. As a design lead supervisor additional responsibilities include weekly taskforce meeting for progress report, attending and working weekly teleconference notes to our counterpart for issue and concerned, monitoring allotted man-hours thru Control Level Schedule-CLS.

ConocoPhillips_Szorb–Low Sulfur Gasoline Project

(June 2004 Nov. 2004)

Work share project between Fluor Daniel, Inc.-Philippines and Fluor Daniel-Houston. Low Sulfur Gasoline Project located at Lake Charles, LA USA. Work involves detail engineering design, to produce clean fuels in accordance to meet EPA Tier II sulfur regulations before year 2006. As a checker/ designer responsibilities includes development of Instrument Installation-Hook Up Detail, Instrument Indexing using INtools application. Check and review the quality of offline instrument model into PDS, Instrument Location Plan and perform inter-discipline coordination.

Tengizchevroil (TCO) -Asset Development Project

(November 2003 to June 2004)

It is a detailed designed joint venture project of Parson/ Fluor Daniel (PFD) led by Camberly, England office. In conjunction with offices in Houston and work sharing with the Fluor Daniel Inc.-Phil. The Tengiz oil field is located in the western part of Kazakhstan, near the Caspian Sea. Responsible for design and developed instrument and Fire and gas location plan. Working for Index, assigning cell or blocks in loop module to produce a complete ILD from field instrument, junction box, marshalling panel up to control room using INtools application, generation of Loop Diagram into Microstation.

Total eXplorer FPU Project

(May 2003 to November 2003)

Front-End Engineering/ Detailed Engineering Design Oil and Gas Upstream Offshore Project.

This Floating Production Unit is a Mock project to familiarize and understands the resources, competencies and skills required to prepare for the offshore project such as FPSO, FPU.

Scope of work consists of 7 of the 13 modules, the heart of an Oil and Gas Production Unit.

As a design lead supervisor my responsibilities include weekly progress report, monitoring allotted man-hours for all design activity thru Control Level Schedule- CLS. Developed Instrument Installation Design Scope of work and checking all the control system deliverables.

Citgo-Conversion Optimization Project

(May 2002 to May 2003)

Work share project between Fluor Daniel, Inc.-Philippines and Fluor Daniel-Houston. Conversion Optimization Project located at Lake Charles, Louisiana USA. Work involves detail engineering design, like development of instrument location plan using PDS application-Equipment modeling of all offline instruments based on P& ID development, instrument index and instrument installation details. Attend model review and resolved client model comments. Responsibilities includes checking of all instrument location plan /cable and conduit routing layout, checking all extraction isometric piping drawings if there is an instruments conform with vendor dwg./ data sheet.

Hamaca Crude Upgrade Project

(July 2001 to April 2002)

Work share project between Fluor Daniel, Inc.-Philippines and Fluor Daniel Aliso Viejo. Hamaca Crude Upgrade Project located at Venezuela, South America - Conversion from 9 degree API crude oil @ 4 % sulfur to 26 degree API crude oil @ 1% sulfur. Performed engineering detail design. Responsibilities includes modeling of all offline instruments base on P&ID development using PDS-Raceway application, extraction of instrument location plan from 3D to 2D drawings with cable and conduit routing layout.

Northern Area Offshore Maintain Potential Platform and Flowline Program

Involved for 3 (three) new detail design project of Fixed platform (jackets) Universal Modular Patform (UMP) Production Deck Modules (PDM’s) with BI-8197 and BI-8198, Abu Safah 64/69, Marjan 156/161, Hamur 6/11.Involved in the BI-8196 Marjan Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Upgrade detail design project under WP 1600, Gas Oil Separation Plant 1, 2, and 3 (GOSP) with total of 34 platform facilities. Responsible for all Instrument design and drawings using MicroStation Intergraph and handle the continuity check of ILD to ensure that the Instrument Loop Drawing agrees with all the other drawings associated with the project. like the following.

Involved in the Shedgum Water Supply Improvement BI-8916 Saudi Aramco project. UHF Radio and Antenna System for Shedgum Water Wells site. Responsible for field survey determining site distances, contour upland and digitizing vectorization of details and Isometric drawings as per physical survey.

Involved in the Proposal of National Gas Liquid (NGL) Facilities at Abqaiq Plant BI-3137 Saudi Aramco project. Responsible for digitizing of Electrical and Mechanical Drawings.

Had been involved in the BI-8247 Seawater Supply Shedgum WIP-3 and BI-3133 UA-1 Scrapper Launcher. Responsible for Aramco CADD Drawing Standards such as EIL, P&ID, ILD.

Involved in the as-builting and digitizing of Ras Tanura Health Center, SAUDI ARAMCO Project. Responsible in tracing the power cable and lighting thru switch gear to substation. Modify existing drawings as per the physical survey and prepare the engineering mark-ups for CADD.

Had also been involved in the SCECO Activities & Recreation Facilities design project. Responsible for the design and drafting of electrical plans including mechanical drafting work.

Involved in the Power Supply to Yabreen Area Villages and Installation of Additional Line Disconnect Grounding Switches at PI Configured Substation in NOA, DOA, HOA both are SCECO Projects. Responsible for drafting for Electrical Plan, Electrical Details, One Line Diagram and Conduit Schedules.
