MARCH 2022 - CURRENT EMPLOYMENT

BEAUTY ADVISOR, ULTA BEAUTY

Becoming a beauty advisor has given me so many opportunities. Since I’ve started, I have been able to get multiple credit card and loyalty sign ups. Apart from that, my responsibilities at Ulta include: greeting each guest with a warm welcoming smile and offering my assistance. I am also in charge of checking out each guest and making sure they get all the savings they can for their purchase. Stocking is another major responsibility as well as facing, and exchanging out expired products.

NOVEMBER 2021 – MARCH 2022

ONLINE SHOPPER, WALMART

During my time at Walmart, I was trained with a device that displayed orders from customers. These orders consisted of ambient, chilled, and frozen items from across the store that I was responsible for gathering. I went through the lists, picked the items, then neatly bagged orders getting them ready for pick up. Another one of my responsibilities was to go in the back rooms and freezers to find items that were not on the shelves. Keeping a tidy work space was also expected of me.

IN SHOP, JIMMY JOHNS

At Jimmy Johns, I first started off working as a cashier. This part of the task list came easiest to me because greeting people, assisting on whatever question or concern they may have is like second nature. A few months of working at the register, I was promoted to take my “sandwich test'' and start working on the line! Crafting each signature sandwich taught me the importance of little details. This took some time to really master, but I eventually made “sandwich making” a second nature of mine as well. Once I figured this out it was smooth sailing from there. My last position was below manager wage/duties.

A skill I can easily relate to is leadership, radiating a positive but still yet healthy work environment, and getting the task at hand done. One key component to mastering all these is simple; I am not afraid to ask for help. Help from my teammates, coworkers, family, friends, etc. It takes a whole village!
