● Texaco Corp. Credit Card Division- Customer Relations Rep/Trainer

Responsibilities included taking inbound

calls from customers regarding all

aspects of their credit cards. This

included bankruptcies, credit card

theft/fraud, overcharges by 3rd party

merchandisers, "divorce situations" and

much more. Took 180 calls per day

plus trained 1-2 new agents at the same

time.

Sole contact for all clients. Doubled

business revenue in 1 year (inside

sales). Responsible for running all tests

through automated computer and hand

scoring mental abilities tests. Editing

Psychologists summations and verbal

delivery to client (as well as faxed copy)

clients. Tested and chosen over 600

other candidates for the position.

Lead Supervisor

Responsibilities included managing 4

subordinate supervisors, 50 lower level

employees; keeping track of 8-10

contracted jobs we had running con-

currently. Pulling sample (by

demographics mandated by clients),

Finalizing paperwork with statistics

at the end of each shift while also

calling each client to let them know

where their stats stood. Responsible for

termination of employees (rare, low

turnover). HR did all hiring. Owners

very supportive.

● Quality Controlled Services/Maritz Market

Research - First Line Supervisor

Managing 50 employees in a market

research (surveys only) phone room.

Responsible for running 8-13 jobs at

a time - all with variable demographic

requirements. Hiring, firing and step

discipline were also part of what I was

required to do (but again - low turnover

despite low wages). Speaking to clients

over the phone (and greeting in person),

making sure they had their evening

party trays and fun places to go while

in town.
