Private General Dental Practice in Encino, CA. Practice started “Day One” out of Dental School and grew to a Multi-doctor, Multi-Specialty (at times multi-office), with visiting Orthodontists, Periodontists, Endodontists, and Oral Surgeons. Over 25 years in Private Practice.

Early conversion to “computerized office,” and long time Dentrix office (beta-test office for multi-office / multi-doctor software.) Actually, started practice with Safeguard “Peg-Board and Ledger Card” system and soon converted the first generation Xerox Computer System with an early practice management software from a company called Diablo Systems.

Penguin’s Frozen Yogurt Master Franchise Owner / Supervising Manager which grew to 6 locations in Westwood, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, West LA, and Venice.

Video Giant (10,000sq. ft. plus freestanding video rental stores similar to Blockbuster Video) Developer /Owner / Supervising General Manager which grew to locations in Anaheim, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, Tustin, Woodland Hills, and Simi Valley California.

Basketball Camp in Rome, Italy with NBA players as coaches during the off-season. – I Cofounded the business and participated in the logistics, negotiations, and follow-through with Ercole Manzi, a dear friend and sports fanatic with “El Tutto Futbol”

Curriculum Advisor to “The Bryman School,” a vocational school training Dental Assistants in Encino, CA. More recently, I have consulted and taught classes at Advanced Career Training and Interactive College of Technology here in Morrow, GA. This has allowed me to fulfill my passion to teach and mentor those interested in a lifelong career in the dental field.

Calabasas Carpet Care – Carpet and Furniture Cleaning Service for Residential and Commercial Customers. Owner, bought small existing distressed business. *Actually, a creative (a “thinking outside the box”) way to meet people with construction needs after the devastating 1994 Northridge Earthquake, in SoCal. In reality, we ended up doing GC on a lot of chimney replacement / repair, general construction, and swimming pools. Just a creative way to get “New Business” that had the right timing.

***I met my wife of 26 years, as she was a property manager for the Executive Properties of Samsung Electronics Corporation in Century City and Beverly Hills, CA, when I went to do one of these estimates.

The Big Blue Discovery Foundation, CEO / Treasurer / Co-Founder, a 501c3, non-profit, promoting environmental awareness through appreciating our beaches and oceans. We took up to 350, mostly teenagers, through a 3-Day PADI Discover Scuba Program starting in Sport’s Chalet’s scuba pools and finishing with a 2-Dive, Day-Trip to Catalina Island. We partnered with Arnold Schwarzenegger (Inner City Games program,) the BOY’s and Girl’s Club, the Boy Scouts of America, Ted Danson (Heal the Bay,) Ed Asner, Toni Danza, Rob Schiller, Roderic and Marty Barrand, Sean Penn, and many others to make this happen (and free for the participants.) Our celebrity spokesperson and benefactor to all things good was Ed Begley, jr. Forever Grateful!

Public Speaking on Dental and other issues at school, local, local, state, and national meetings. My areas of expertise are (were?) Bonding / Cosmetic Dentistry, Internal Marketing, Patient Loyalty (retention and referrals,) and keeping Dentistry as a Profession, and not making it a Business.
