Command Career Counselor for 138 enlisted personnel, directly responsible for the morale and career enhancing programs resulted in the COMSUBPAC Retention Excellence Award for (2) consecutive years.
US Navy – 1998 to 2001 – 1st Lieutenant, Building Manager, Career Counselor
Served at CSDS-5, Commander Submarine Development Group Five as 1st Lieutenant responsible for all building and vehicle maintenance, building fire and safety inspections, museum, and historical artifacts of the 100-year-old historical facility. Conducted the physical properties of two changes of command and 14 retirement ceremonies. As command career counselor, I was directly responsible for career incentive programs of over 1,500 personnel. Served aboard USS Blueback (SS-581).
Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the submarines main propulsion system which included a GE 5,900 HP D.C. motor, three GE 940 kw D.C. generators, and the 1,000 vdc GNB main storage batteries and all auxiliary electrical systems.
