Project name ADM Ethanal Plant City, State Walhalla ND

Your role on project Site supervisor

Project Description We were on site for about 10 years with a crew up to 40 men. We did all there concrete, piping, millwright, structural work and sheeting . A few of the larger project were, install a overhead crane on 3rd floor over there centrifuge deck. We installed all new support structure and rails for the crane, we had to install the crane that was 30 ft long by hand with chain falls. Replace all internals on there dryer along with any outside sheets that were showing wear. The unit itself was 20ft diameter x 100ft. Replaced all the trunnions and realigned unit.

During A major storm half the roof blew off there process building that was 60ft tall 100ft x 280ft. We thought of a way to fabricate the roof in sections on the ground and lift with crane to expedite the new install. While doing a major remodel in their distillation building, they had a accident in one of there other plants so we no longer do any hot work inside of building. We had to demo a 80ft x 15ft diameter stainless tank and all piping with Sawzall’s and about 500 blades. We had to take off the entire roof off and prefab all piping and drop into place with a 300 ton crane. The piping was both stainless and carbon, from 3’’ to 18’’.

After a couple weeks of installing structural steel to rig off of, we fabricated a cart for it to sit in to make it easier to handle. We used air tuckers, pullies and chain falls to get it up inplace.
