I perform R&D duties and new product development or ideas. I manage around 15 employees. I train sales and technical people on sales points and set-ups for best performance.

06/17-02/22: I was the General Manager for Fat Cat Boats in Corpus Christi. I designed boats and lay-up schedules as well as all operations of the business. I was responsible for training of all employees in every department. I managed 14 employees that included 3 Department Managers. I fished tournaments across the Gulf Coast including on Discovery Channel, which allowed me to develop relationships all over the area. I served as the only salesperson and F&I Manager as part of my duties. I was able to successfully work in all aspects of marketing to develop a “cult” and quality brand amongst anglers. I handled all R&D and new product development.

08/15-06/17: I was the Operations Manager for Texas Watercraft and Marine and Coastal Custom Boats (I also owned stock). I managed the day to day operations and financial planning for the two large operations. One in Port Isabel and one in Corpus Christi (3 hours apart). I trained and managed a combination of about 4 managers and 10-12 employees daily. I also did the pricing, P&L, budgeting and Sales Manager duties. I was involved in the actual building, lay-up schedules, and design of the boats. I handled virtually all of the marketing and R&D. I was also the National Sales Manager for Prowler Boats and Freedom Boats. I executed and fulfilled all the dealer agreements. I also trained sales staff for various dealerships in the sales aspects of all of the boats that they sell. I was actively involved in the rigging and technical repairs of client boats.

08/14-08/15: I was the Sales Manager and Delivery Captain for Premier Yamaha in Aransas Pass. While there, I worked with Majek Boats and others in increasing sales and gross profits. I have set-up and worked shows all over South Texas. I was one of the top producing sales professionals in Texas.

1/13-08/14: I returned to Ron Hoover RV and Marine where I assisted in closing, training, marketing, and setting up and working shows. I have also done outside sales and been the boat Delivery Captain. I have trained two new F&I Managers and trained in website presentation and phone skills. I regularly performed the GM duties when he was away from the store. I helped to improve our service and sales ratings and profits.

From 10/12-1/13: I worked with the Caller-Times as a Multimedia Marketing Manager. I sold and developed ROI based marketing to businesses primarily in the automotive and marine industries. During my tenure there I learned about the various digital mediums as well as print advertising. I attained 120% of my sales goals. I worked with several different clients and my knowledge of business and the marketing strategies has driven some extraordinary numbers for them. My customer retention rate remained well ahead of the average.

From 11/11-10/12: I was working at Ron Hoover RV and Marine as a General Manager. I “rebranded” and renovated the store in Corpus Christi. In 90 days, I moved the store from a $10,000 per month loss to a $20k+ profit, beginning in the first month. I was trained and certified to do F&I and regularly handled those duties. I also handled the marketing strategies for the store. As it was a small store, I cleaned and filed from 6am-8am and stayed late to perform technician duties and prepare trailers, motorhomes, and boats for delivery. Previous to that, I was Sales Manager for the Rockport store. I hired and trained our sales staff as well as preparing deliveries and working with F&I. During my tenure here, I have managed sales shows throughout south Texas. I handled the photographing and posting of inventory on the internet. I also handled the on-line marketing and leads from the internet. I was a top salesman based on number of deals and profitability for the dealership. Despite having left the company, Mr. Hoover and the boat and engine manufacturers still contracted me to do shows and deliveries, and help train new managers.

From 05/11-11/11: I was the General Manager at Rockport Marine Inc. I managed all aspects of the business including personnel, service, parts, and used and new boat sales and procurement. During my tenure there, I reduced overhead by $100,000 per year and increased sales by three to four times while lowering inventory in all departments by two-thirds. I was personally responsible for sales as part of my pay program. I was instrumental in introducing procedures to make sure we receive all payments in all departments in a timely manner. I oversaw all warranty claims and payments. I had also developed a relationship with vendors and clients that have improved the dealership’s image while being highly profitable.
