Below, please find a summary history and key background positions of Executive Director that make me qualified to exercise the duties of the position. This position matches my background as former immigration attorney and Executive Director of various institutions as well as a professor of law and social work among other courses. Below you will see all the areas and years of experience that match the criteria for this position.

I have been an adjunct professor for 15 years in the areas of Advocacy, Human Rights, Social Justice, Social Policy, and Legal Foundations at Columbia University and New York University. I am also Lawyer (Immigration. Voting Rights, Constitutional Law) and a Social Worker (MSW)

I am currently the president and founder of the Latino Leadership Institute. LLI focus on progressive training of individual in organizing nonpartisan political/electoral and empowerment campaigns as well Public Policy. I have directed partisan and non-partisan campaigns for more than 20 years at the local and national level.

I am also the author of the play, book and film and professor of FIVE SESSIONS taught at Columbia University and New York University which combines the tensions on power, privilege, race, social justice, human rights, and policy. Five sessions integrate all the aspect the PROP program which focus on Power, Race Oppression and Privilege a model use at Columbia University Graduate School of Social to teach all clinical, pubic and policy classes.

Currently, LLI is in a partnership with Columbia University and the school of Urban and Labor School at CUNY, and New York University.

I have a, a law degree from CUNY (J.D. – 2003, admitted in New Jersey), and Master’s in Social Work Social Policy and Organizing concentration from Hunter College. In addition, I am also a Revson Fellow at Columbia University. I am also bilingual (Spanish and English).
