• Reviewed Income Tax of Examination Changes and submitted IRS appeal to contest the adjustments made on the joint income tax after the spouse had died.

• Negotiated with the Maryland tax department to remove the flag from client’s Driver’s License as a result of Client having an Outstanding tax bill. Maryland Tax Collection Officer provided the 10 precent amount required after considering the outstanding issues provided.

• Represented Client before the IRS and successfully removed the lien from his property by providing evidence that expenses incurred were in the ordinary and necessary course of his business and created an estimated payment amount that was acceptable to the client and the agency.

• Prevailed in obtaining Taxpayer relief of client’s $195,000 DC tax bill by asserting the reasonable cause explanation provided in IRM 20.1.
