Established a corporation for the importation and sale of wines into the Tri State Metropolitan Area in 1997. The premise behind the creation of this firm was that most small and medium size vineyards around the world, known as “boutique vineyards”, had no access to the USA market as their production was insufficient to attract important importers. Filed the necessary legal documents with the federal government to obtain a import license. Databases were created to track and organize potential vineyards interested in exporting to the US market. The sample were evaluated with contacts in the restaurant industry and selections were made based on their qualifying reviews. I successfully introduced some 50 wineries and their wines to the New York restaurant market( $500,000). Wines from France, Australia, Italy, and Spain.

Research and resolve various problems in the Benefit and Pension Allocation System that records the collection of contributions from various employer/participants for their union members. The cash receipts are booked daily into a Syntonics System and exported to Microsoft Access and then to Excel for manipulation. Data is handled via special financial schedules that have had to be reviewed in order to take into consideration new requirements for variance analysis.

FHLB New York, New York, NY – Budget Analyst 8/1999-12/1999

Engaged to create a traditional budget procedure. (bottom up). In prior years the budget had been decided by senior management and then sent down the line. In order to create this new budget a budget allocation system was created based on several prior years’ costs and income figures by division, department and section. Once this was done a new budget forecast was initiated for all departments, based on discussions with each department head. Total allocation $15 million.

St. John’s Associates, New York, NY – Budget/Cost Analyst 1998-2002

Real Estate Project involving a group of investors (represented by law firms) in the conversion from rental to cooperatives of several large apartment complexes in Jersey City, NJ. The project required the creation of a detailed analysis of the cost allocation for each apartment including common space, garage and grounds. A study of the rent rolls taking into account the restrictions on sale due to the age of certain tenants was placed into a database for future use. Created and maintained a budget/cost allocation analysis model involving all the aforementioned details, while the investors and the banks sought prominence to finalize the project.
