Entergy Fukushima project, 11 Nuclear Power Plants, 2014 Mar - 2015 Jul

Entergy, Project Controls Manager. Outage/Turnaround and Online Fukushima projects, Burn down Curves and P6 Scheduling and Earned Value and Risk Analysis. Developed a process to pull info out of planning software for pre and post outage actuals, and the ties were performed during the outages. Mostly E&I, that is what that tidal wave did was wipe out the power and control systems. The job was putting generators in warehouses in cities spread out all over the US where they could put them out on wheels in a couple of hours. That is why Fukushima happened; it was that they lost power for the control systems.

Bauer Foundations Center Hill Dam Project Nashville TN, 2012 Jan – 2013 Dec

P6 Senior Cost Scheduler. Setup/Wrote Dam Remediation Schedule, earned value tracking system in P6 and Earned Value for Dam Underground Encasement Barrier/Columnar Wall Construction. There was E&I work in the water driven power generators.

DOE NETL Research Program Morgantown WV 2011 Oct – 2012 Jan

Was in Microsoft Project, changed it to P6 Scheduler and earned value. Setup/Started scheduling cost tracking, earned value system. DOE NETL was mostly battery work, making them so they were better, they were in the proses of redirecting all that money to other studies. Wrote multiple look-ahead research schedules for FY12, FY13, FY14 in MS Project and P6. Setup P6, migrated from MS Project to P6.

Senior Project Scheduler. Scheduled P3-P6 1.6 billion dollar US/Russian Mixed Fuel Fabrication Facility (MFFF), MOX Project and Licensing. Wrote NRC Licensing (1st non power plant to NRC) Schedule, with cost, and E&I for this project to NRC. Design/Engineering/Construction P3/P5 Schedule/budget. Weapons grade plutonium to MOX fuel for reactors in US/Russia.

Data Center Building, Invensys Powerware, Virginia. 2003 Jan - 2003 Jun

Senior Project Scheduler, Senior Project Cost Engineer. Scheduled P3-6 Back-up Data Center for White House, and Library of Congress, Building Refit in P3 schedule. Wrote/Monitored weekly P3 Schedule with subcontractors. Earned value system built into schedule for multiple subcontract payments using Earned Value. Required me to read wiring blueprints. Consisted of pulling miles of wire, installed backup power system, large AC system on roof, and computers on a raised floor, Earned Value system imbedded in schedule.

Senior Project Estimator, Senior Project Scheduler. Scheduled P3 new 1.3 billion dollar International terminal “D” into multi-project P3 schedule. Imploded 20 story Hyatt Hotel close to 911. Coordinated Weekly Schedule Review meetings with subcontractors.

British Petroleum, Lima, Ohio. Senior Project Engineer. Estimated work for Cat-Cracker refit for input to Budget and P3 schedule. Turnaround, Tracked subcontractors for Weekly Project Review. Was not told what it was for, just had to move pipe and vessals around till it was correct.

Senior Cost Engineer. Estimated 60 Mechanical Turnaround changes a week for RFI program. Negotiated cost with mechanical subcontractor for client. Computed cost change for schedule and Weekly/Monthly Project Review.

Jacobs DOE EPC, Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), 1997 Oct- 1999 Jul Bayou Choctaw Site, Plaquemine La. Senior P3 Scheduler/Cost Engineer. Scheduled multi million dollar Life Extension Project at SPR salt dome oil storage site using Primavera. Conducted weekly/monthly Project Review. Estimated multi discipline task changes for contract negotiations.

Jacobs Engineering, 1995 Jul - 1997 Oct DOE. Strategic Petroleum Reserve, New Orleans, La. Senior Scheduler/Cost Engineer Wrote/tracked changes to current budget for Life Extension Project. Composed monthly Project Review and quarterly Program Review. Used P3 software. Estimated 30, 60, 90 Approved For Construction new projects and changes for brine injection wells, pumping, piping facilities and monitoring. Estimates were for 5/10 year planning.

Albemarle Corp. Magnolia Arkansas. 1994 Nov - 1995, Jul Brine products, fire retardents production plant. Senior P3 Scheduler/Cost Engineer Wrote independent estimates, schedules and forecasts for plant refit. Reviewed cost and scheduling, actuals/forecasts submitted by main T&M contractor. Checked estimates and billing for major plant piping and vessel refit Turnaround.

Transamerica Refining Inc. EPC 1994 May - 1994 Nov Norco Refinery, Norco La. Senior Scheduler/Cost Engineer Estimated large quantity of multi discipline tasks for major privately owned oil refinery. Input them into P3/Finest Hour for total refit of light oil facility, crude oil facility, coker plant conversion and tank farm construction. Plant had been in cold shutdown for 12 years. Schedule required continues changes as equipment was inspected. Were using 12 year old blueprints due to shutdown, Total project cost was 580 million.

Department Of Energy, DOE 1992 Jul - 1993 Aug

Savanaugh River Site, Department of Energy, Aiken, South Carolina. Wrote activity based budget for waste tank storage facility. Wrote estimates for above/below ground piping and massive nuclear waste tanks for tank slurying and waste removal for glassification and disposal. Wrote budgets. Estimates were 5/10 year planning.

Jacobs Engineering, EPC 1991 Jul - 1992 May Shell Chemical Turnaround, Giesmer, La. Estimated piping/vessel/electrical projects for EO refit at Shell oil refinery, Norco. Input to Primavera and checked weekly progress and forecasts. Initiated weekly cost/schedule meeting with contractor and Shell engineers.

Jersey Central Power & Light, 1991 Jan – 1991 May Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Station, Ware Town, New Jersey. Senior Project Controls Engineer. Ran weekly Outage/Turnaround report in PCP (Project Cost Processor) and imported P2 schedule updates along with excel cost project information to produce report for weekly budget/planning status meeting. Was responsible for keeping outage manager updated on all weekly project changes and total.

Arkansas Power & Light, 1990 Sep – 1990 Nov Arkansas Nuclear One, Russellville, Arkansas, Senior Project Control Engineer. Estimated multiple piping/vessel/electrical equipment projects for nuclear plant construction/refit for nuclear Outage/Turnaround, estimates were in the +/- 5% range and in the 85k to 880k range. They were used for developing outage budgets and for contract negotiations.

Arizona Public Service, 1990 May – 1990 Aug Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Phoenix, Arizona. Senior Project Control Engineer. Estimated 3000 multiple piping/vessel/electrical projects for nuclear plant long range planning group in the 75k to 800k range. These estimates were input to P3 for the 5/10/15 year planning budgets. Wrote a page from a 3 or 4 word title. Some one above us were saying they were 15% estimates.

River Bend Nuclear Power Plant, St. Francisville, La. Entergy Inc, 1985 jan - 1990 May

Project Control, Cost Engineer, Estimator. Wrote capital, O&M and construction budget totaling $130 million per year for nuclear power plant. Developed monthly budget verses actual report using PCP (Project Cost Processor) and SAS mainframe database systems. This reported incremental and cumulative actuals verses budget. Wrote construction/refit, estimates from 50k to 188k and Outage/Turnaround.

Brown & Root, Inc., 1983 - 1984

Texaco Refineries, Convent, La. Senior Scheduler. Developed piping/vessel estimates for refinery and loaded into construction schedule for LOOP project.

Avondale Shipyard, Inc., 1981 - 1982 Offshore Platform Division, Morgan City, La. Senior Project Engineer, Cost Estimator. Estimated offshore platforms for construction/refit, estimates were to-build in the 8 million to 13 million range. Controlled $99 million in construction and changes as Project Engineer.

Texaco, Inc., 1980 - 1981 Harvey, La. Engineer. Southeast production, Texaco Inc. Checked as-built drawings of all production facilities in southeast Louisiana and Mississippi. Estimated piping and vessel projects for oil production facilities. Corrosion engineer.
