Currently working as Restaurant Manager through Platinum Recruitment in Stratford upon Avon

A temporary role as the hotel is going through change of ownership.

Self Employed Contractor, Operations Director - Restaurants October 2018 to 31 March 2020

Up until recently I have been working on a new project in Greater Manchester, a contract to start a new fine dining a

la carte restaurant outlet. I worked on stock control, financial management and business marketing. Whilst I worked over sixty hours a week the business was returning a profit to the MD.

I also have been working as Restaurant Operations Manager for a new restaurant in Manchester known as Oodles Noodles - a pan Asian fine dining A la carte restaurant with two hundred seating capacity. My responsibilities involved in kitchen and restaurant seating plans and layout, menu planning, staff recruitment, staff training, setting up SOP’s, creating all health and safety files for local authority including compliance. I was also responsible for training their junior managers. The chain operates across the Midlands and Greater Manchester.

I worked for celebrity endorsed pan Asian Chak 89 in South London as the Operations Director. I was managing events and parties - both outdoor catering and two adjoining halls with over six hundred seating capacity. I was responsible for the sales and marketing, client meetings, events management, compiling innovative menus with the chefs and event specification sheets organising staff and stocks for parties. I worked on the GM’s direction - increasing profit and reducing costs. I was able to achieve this with my experience and desire to take on a challenge.

Hotel General Manager St. James Hotel London/Lahore May 2013 to Sept 2018

I was employed on promoting the St James Group reputation in the market and with customers as well as hotel suppliers. I was involved in planning and organizing the hotels activities to achieve financial targets. I was also responsible for the Profit and Loss of the business. I was in charge of leading, motivating and developing the hotel staff and management including recruitment. I was also responsible for liaising with officials of local government departments and regulatory bodies. On a regular basis I was developing business plans and preparing comprehensive business reports detailing the business and its profitability.

I was responsible for the effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for the staff are planned and implemented each role. I ensured all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards were met and exceeded the required level. I was responsible for revenue and cost control and smashed the targets delivering profitability to the f and b department. I was also responsible for the external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the food and beverage department including bringing new products to the business.

I successfully ran and operated businesses throughout with this private investment company. I maximized the full potential of each business by placing great emphasis on promotions and marketing.
