Department at Kettering Cancer Center and also worked in the Hospital’s Pre-cert Department. My job duties included obtaining and receiving approval for Cancer treatment and all out- patient procedures following hospital guidelines along with Medicare guidelines and other private insurance carrier.
Make sure the proper coverage will be in effect at time of procedures. Verify patient is the claimant and all info is correct. Must use the CRT or ICD-9 codes correctly.
1976-1989 Worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance not MetLife as a claim approver in the Large Group Healthcare field. My job was to receive Claims process them following Medicare guidelines. Apply the correct diagnosis and CPT codes using the reasonable and customary guidelines. Make payment to the provider of service without false intentions.
I also worked as a Tax preparer for H&R Block for 10 years
I have worked in the bbilling office submitting all claim for Dr Harry Fronista and Kettering Hospital. I understand the use of HCFA and UB-92. I’m familiar with electronic billing and the other forms of sending out billing statements
