Supervising Communications Technician of Facility Maintenance

●Supervised staff, assign daily work assignments, schedule project installations with engineers & other customers, create and managed On Call schedule and provide support 24/7 for On Call technician(s) or other groups as required, performed yearly and probationary performance evaluations, facilitated employee’s PIP (Performance Incentive Program goals and results), and review applications and perform interviews for potential staff.

●Developed team to meet goals within budget, train, provided a safe, ethical work environment, social correctness, developed and corrected MOU (memorandum of understanding) as required.

●Manage daily field operations and facility maintenance throughout OC Agencies and Correctional facilities (Jails).

●Coordinate requested Audio/Video portables events with customers and assign experienced staff to work. Constantly providing training and support to technical staff to remain current with technological changes.

●Suggest and prepare part requisitions, information for contracts to financial department and acquire estimates for equipment for budget inquiries.

●Provided estimates, Coordinate projects, installations and service at 24 hour jail facilities in Orange County California and other county divisions and agencies.

●Songs certified to support Emergency Management Department at OCSD/Communications Emergency operation Center.

●Research and assist in providing RFI’s for contractor’s and engineers.

●Support, research/engineer and install various upgrades to antiquated PLC’s, intercom systems, public address, Audio/Video equipment, setups and systems, CCTV Matrix and camera installations/adjustments, wireless alarm systems, computer workstations and networks, and maintain/repair SCADA HMI software (Wonderware) and Control systems P.C.’s.

●Installation of Various Electronic equipment, fiber optic termination, and fault isolate using test equipment and application software.

●Maintain 30 computers on LAN and service hardware & software work orders. (I am A+ and Network + Certified) Control Systems.

●Install, configure, modify, upgrade and document electronic equipment systems throughout Orange County Facilities.

●Provide staff and end users procedures when applicable to operate/service equipment.

●Provide exceptional internal and external customer field service, assistance, training and updates to our customers and staff on any issues or concerns.

●Interface with contractors as a project manager installing equipment, Administrative Managers I & II’s, Facility Supervisors and other stake holders of interest.

●Train and supervise other technicians and provide equipment and operability on current systems to engineers with a maintenance budgetary cost.

●Repair audio & DVR video systems, alarm/security systems & Duress systems.

During all my years of employment, I have taken the opportunity to further my education, experience and embraced new challenges and change. After achieving and working in law enforcement for almost 20 years, I retired to travel across country and view the Beautiful United States.
