On this project I worked along side and supervised contractors at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) for the installation of fiber optic cabling, feeder site termination enclosures, tactical fiber optic cable assemblies and fiber distribution panels. This task was done through out the range at various secluded sites.

As superintendent I was involved in directing and supervising JOC jobs such as in Las Cruces, NM. LCFD classroom canopy, LCPD east station renovations, also in Ft. Davis, TX. McDonalds Observatory, roof repairs and an abatement job, and in Alpine, TX. renovated Dorms at Sul Ross University on a tight schedule. In El Paso I was also involved with a waterproofing project at the EL Paso Convention Center, I also worked for Spartan Construction running a project at Andress High School, Child Development Lab as a contractor.

My responsibility was to review ongoing projects to assure that all of our contractors were adhering to all safety compliance under the EM 385.1.1 COE safety manual. I inspected equipment and tools and also documented any deficiencies. Reviewed fall protection and lift plans along with generating Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA’s) and inputted into governments QCS/RMS program. Conducted safety toolbox talks with workers.

Worked closely with superintendent and foreman to ensure site’s safety program and company’s fall protection was being implemented. Carried out routine monitoring of the construction site with over as many as 70 workers, to ensure all safety measures were in place. Also coordinated safety meetings, assured inspection of equipment and conducted in-house safety orientation for all of the new hires.
