Human Resources Specialist (2014-2020)

● Focus on recruiting from start to finish. Create job descriptions both on my own and with hiring managers. Post jobs to Indeed, Monster, etc. Interview, hire and onboard. Create and submit offer letters and Non-Compete/Confidentiality to potential employees. Converse via phone or email regarding any questions. Follow up with a counter offer if needed. Work with necessary departments prior to start date to make sure new employee had necessary tools for job (key card, laptop, desk setup, business cards)

● Prepare termination letters, insurance certificates, credible coverage, COBRA notification, final check, and removal from benefits. Also maintain COBRA should employee elect coverage.

● Maintained all time and attendance for Temporary employees. Submitted timesheets weekly. Worked with Express Personnel to track hours. Typically would hire on “full time” once the employee reached the required hours threshold. Communicate to department managers to ensure timely hiring.

● Setup new state taxes where business has not previously been done. Get rate information, account numbers for state withholding and unemployment insurance. File paperwork with the state's Department of Labor, Secretary of State, etc. Then file information with Paylocity to make sure the employee has state tax withholding. Also making sure PROSOCO has correct quarterly filing set up, correct billing information, etc. Maintain state information as necessary. Quarterly billing and state filing would be handled through Paylocity and Accounting.

● Process, maintain and complete paperwork regarding child support, garnishments, etc. Setup all pre- employment drug screenings. This includes all out of state screenings. Calling and setting up accounts for our out of state hires.

● Various other administrative duties in Paylocity. (payroll): Enter max out 401(k) goals every January. Double check goals beginning of each December to make sure the employee would hit the max contribution amount. Monitor 401(k) loan totals/goals to ensure the employee did not overpay the loan. Personal mileage entry each November/December for all Salespeople. Pay changes for promotions/ increases.

● Benefits enrollment every fall. This was done online through Employee Navigator. Help all employees as needed with enrollment questions.

● Benefits administration meetings with vendors generally every quarter, but would increase to monthly as renewals got closer. PROSOCO is self-insured. This allowed us the ability to heavily negotiate our rates for the company and employees.

● Met with various vendors regarding payroll, medical, dental, temp services, etc. to ensure due diligence.

Would make changes to benefits and services as needed.

● Audits as time allowed or as needed. One 401(k) audit (random). Annual Work Comp Audit every July. Typically I would be on hand for questions as needed.

● Processed E-Verify for all employees. Ensured that I-9 were current and up to date.

● Maintained “car files” for employees with company vehicles. This included both purchased and leased vehicles. Keep titles, insurance cards, gas cards and other sensitive documents up to date. Leased vehicles through Enterprise. Worked with VP of Operations and accounting to determinelease status, sell, etc. Assisted with auto insurance renewals.. Mail and email cards as needed..
