Arab Builders took on multi-million riyal multi-year contacting projects with the Saudi National Guard as well as large private sector real estate developers. I initially joined to generate new projects and then oversee their delivery, and then took on the General Manager position. My roles entailed two sets of activities:

Business development activities: Setting annual sales and profitability targets, developing client relationships, developing multi-country supplier relationships, defining product standards, sourcing products, preparing, pricing and pitching competitive proposals. Project management delivery activities: Defining phased project plans, integrating plans with construction schedules, setting completion milestones, managing multiple sub-contractors, tracking project costs, overseeing import and on-site installations, managing project teams of 100+ persons, handling client acceptance and handover processes, and managing cashflows. Achievements: Successfully won and delivered more than 100M SAR of projects. Grew private sector client revenues to 25% of company revenues.

Librex/Augewei/Qidi - Factory Manager/Product Specialist/Operations Manager China, 2006-2014 Consumer products (water treatment equipment, air purification equipment, specialized vacuum cleaners, water purification machines) which it manufactured in China and sold in the Middle East, Africa & EU. Initially, I managed the factory and the research and development department as the business grew, the role was extended to overseeing manufacturing operations in China at Augewei, Qidi & Midea factories too. As a factory manager, my role included: Conducting market research, defining product concepts, designing and regularly improving 3D product schematics using Solidworks engineering, producing prototypes, setting up and optimizing production lines, overseeing production schedules, assuring product quality through testing programs, optimizing manufacturing costs relative to target sales price points, and managing product logistics between China and the Middle East, & Africa & USA & the EU. My role also included defining training programs for sales engineers, resolving design 3D Solidworks manufacturing issues with engineering teams in China, Japan and Korea, and providing technical guidance and support to project teams in 47 countries at which we distributed the products. Watermaster - Projects Manager Middle East, 1994-2006 Watermaster designed and executed water treatment / waste water / sewage plants / reverse osmosis / disinfection / sterilization / pools / desalination, and sewage treatment in the MENA region. Clients included CoCa Cola, hotels, high net worth individuals, beverage soft drink and water bottling factories, government ministries and UNESCO.

Responsibilities included overseeing the execution of projects, managing relationships with multiple design and construction companies, training and leading a 17-person after-sales support team, and growing the maintenance business in both clients and revenue.
