I am the office coordinator for a busy Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Office. I handle all day to day operations of our office. I schedule all surgical procedures that are handled by our surgeons. I order all supplies. I aslo book office visits, handle referrals, incoming as well as outgoing. I obtain all prior authorizations and work closely with the insurance companies. My other duties include handling claims for FMLA and Disability. I check patients in when they come to the office and screen for Covid. I handle the physicians’ schedules and keep them informed of all inquiries made by patients. I work closely with the hospital to make sure that I have the current OR schedule. I am responsible for maintaining all office medical records. I send orders to the hospital for all testing, ie: CT, labs, MRIs, Ultrasounds, etc. I am also responsible for all end of day reports and bank deposits. I collect payments and determine copayments based on insurance policies. I create forms that we use to help our office run more efficiently. I also handle getting patients admitted to the hospital when needed. I work closely with bed control. My job requires that I am able to multitask . I enjoy working with our patients, and I am looking to move to a similar position due to the fact that there is no room for growth here.

Cash Office Manager, Accounts Payable, Human Resources Wal Mart Corp - Columbia, SC - August 1991 to August 1998

I started as cash office mgr at Wal Mart Corp in Layton, UT then I transferred to W. Columbia, SC

I was responsible for all revenue taken in daily in a big retail store environment. I handled all bank deposits, performed daily and weekly audits, prepared cash reports on a daily and monthly basis. I also prepared profit and loss statements that went directly to the store manager, as well as the district manager. Then I was promoted to accounts payable. I handled all invoices and was responsible for all reconciliations and accuracy of money spent. Then I was promoted to human resources. I handled all applications as well as all new hires. I performed new hire orientations as well as scheduling all training. I prepared the payroll bi weekly for over 200 associates. I also maintained all associate files.

Video store manager AAFES Concessionaire ( USAF Base in Germany ) - Force, PA - February 1987 to August 1990

Responsibilities We were stationed in Germany when my husband was in the Air Force. This was a video store that rented and sold movies. I was the store manager and we had 4 other associates. I was responsible for all the hiring as well as all the ordering of movies, etc. I made all work schedules and handled associate time cards and made sure they were paid correctly.I performed inventory each month and was responsible of keeping track of sales and balancing the payroll account. I left the store because we came back to the US. Accomplishments I started as a sales associate, and became manager within a year.

WELCA is ..The Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Churches of America. It is a National organization. I currently serve as vice president of our local chapter. We do all kinds of charity work locally as well as state- wide. We recently gave over $5000 to the schools of SC to help under-privileged children learn to read. We also have done national work in trying to help the victims of human trafficking. We work with other organizations, such as the Red Cross and local community charities.

I co-authored this cook book last year. I am proud to say that it is selling well and all the proceeds go to charity.

VOLUNTEERING

I have volunteered for multiple organizations. I have served on my church council four out of the last five years. I have been active volunteering at the local school office and library.
