January 2015 – Present

Process and Technical Engineering, full time

• Design a low-cost Cyanate neutralizer to meet the city level of cyanate waste level that is allowed for disposal.

• Design fixtures that hold more parts than the existing fixtures to increase volume.

• Design Nitriding, DLC and PVD coating recipes that cut down half of the coating time to increase efficiency and reduce usage of salt consumption targets, Argon and heating elements.

• Design a filtration system to reduce residues and porosities on the parts which lead to 50 % decrease on reject parts that the customers usually returned unhappily and charged us money for it.

• Analyze the lab data and propose a cut down of both Coating and Nitriding times that leads the company to save lot of money on usage of targets and salt consumption.

• Calibrate lab equipment daily to prevent damage of the equipment and to deliver better results to the customers on time.

• Troubleshoot and fix PVD sputtering machines.

• Design centerless polishing machines for nitriding and heat-treating lines that yield smoother polished parts to increase customers’ satisfaction. Dayton Coating Technologies, Dayton, Ohio

August 2013-January 2015

Process Engineering, full time

• Design the coating process and lead people on the floor by giving them direction that leads to less injury and less damage of equipment.

• Perform Machine Design and prints to make the job easier for the vendors.

• Develop cathodic arc PVD coating that saves the company 2 million dollars by buying just components and build the machines from scratch instead of buying the whole equipment.

• Write Safety Data Sheet for our products and complete OSHA forms to comply with the government regulation.

• Assist on decision making when changing design of machines to assure saving on equipment and to guarantee efficiency and quality on customers’ parts.

• Provide bill of material for all new design of components or modification of existing products for repeatability.

• Troubleshoot PVT 900, PVT 1000 machines, E2M80 rough pump and Dosatron injector to prevent downtime and damage of equipment.

Procter and Gamble, Prestige Technical, Blue Ash, Ohio September 2012-July 2013

Research & Development, full time

• Suggest the lab manager to change the order of addition on the process of making shampoo to speed up the reaction and to get a better viscosity results that meet the customers’ specs.

• Made regular and GMP batches and performed viscosity and pH measurements to make sure the customers’ spec is met...

• Helped with the formulation of shampoo and hair products to find the best way process to make the products thicker without any damage on the hair.

• Washed and treated hair switches with batches and conducted weekly stability test to control quality and assure the durability of the shampoo products and the humidity and temperature that make the product last longer.

• Performed fluorescence test and UV-vis test to check color of perfume products.

• Used excel to graph the stability data and to make batch sheet tables.

• Followed safety procedures and emergency and shut down to facilitate production needs.

• Reported any shortage or overstock concerns to supervisor or Scheduler/Expeditor to prevent downtime and late delivery.

• Performed Microscopic Test for the switches and measured the diameter of the treatment on the hair to see what effect the shampoo does on the hair in a given period of time. Ecosil Technologies, LLC, Fairfield, Ohio

March 2011-June 2011

Research and Development Co-op, full time

• Lead a team to develop Chemical Vapor Deposition Coating and environmentally friendly anti-corrosion products based on organo-functional silanes.

• Developed protective and aesthetical water-borne coatings for Steel, Aluminum, Magnesium and Zinc-Nickel alloys, stainless steel and ABS plastics to improve corrosion properties.

• Developed synergetic anti-corrosive pigments that works on various substrates, mainly cold rolled steel. This allowed the researchers to use any substrates they desire.

• Conducted both, cyclic corrosion test and salt spray test on panels using CCT and SST chambers in order to mimic both, the winter and summer like weather and to deliver better products to the customers.

Ingersoll Rand Steelcraft manufacturing, Blue Ash, Ohio September 2010-January 2011

Process Engineering Co-op, full time.

• Supervised Plant maintenance sub-contractors

• Facilitated total team performance by active team engagement at the operation.

• Used excel to draw the layout of the plant by making flow charts and by graphing the data of the monthly performance of the facility.

• Developed leadership skills by supervising employees as well as daily production operations and coordination activities of work teams.

• Gained interpersonal skills by working closely with team leaders and managers to provide resources, on-going work direction, decision-making and problem solving to ensure the safe delivery of a quality product on time to the customer (internal and external).

• Led safety program in area of responsibility through example and positive communication, employee involvement and recognition, maintained a clean and orderly work place.

• Contacted customers over the phone and internet and asked them about our product quality to see areas of improvement.

• Wrote quality alerts to notify the workers the complaints from customers and the instructions that need to be followed to eliminate or reduce hazards and manufacturing defects. University of Cincinnati, Department of Materials Engineering, Cincinnati, Ohio June2008-June 2012

Undergraduate Research Intern

• Synthesized and doped polyimide with an aromatic dye to find way to improve the corrosion, damping ability and optical properties of polyimide.

• Formulated novel polyimide-poly (aniline) - copolymer-Nano clay and polyimide-silicone- based Nano composite coatings/membranes with excellent corrosion resistance and exceptional damping ability.

• Synthesized highly transparent and conductive graphene/polyimide Nano composite thin films with exceptional mechanical properties and dimensional stability for fuel cell, battery, organic-photovoltaic and super capacitor applications.

• Performed cyclic voltammetry and charge/ discharge tests on polymer/graphene composite films to test their capability as anode material for Li-ion battery application.

• Analyzed corrosion protection and inhibition mechanisms of polyimide-based coatings/thin films using electrochemical technique: DC polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV).
