Suggested to Phelps Dodge Safety that a P2S Task Trainer be provided for P2S employees. Phelps Dodge Safety approved a Task Trainer in the Heavy Duty Truck Shop for P2S at the Morenci, AZ site.
Studied and reviewed Operation and Maintenance practices of an underground paste plant. Made recommendations and implemented changes to increase overall availability by 40% along with decreasing cost by 50%.
As Vice-Chairman of the SMRP (Society of Maintenance Reliability Professionals) Knowledge committee, have been involved closely with developing new ideas and defining criteria for the organization.

Managed a Fortune 500 company’s Brazilian customer situation from litigation to mitigation with additional equipment sales through successful teaming efforts.

Organized, led and managed a rebuild / modification team in a successful Brazilian assignment during the 9/11/2001 period to satisfactorily rebuild /modify a new piece of mining equipment. This was performed with the use of in-country components due to non-US shipments and performed in a timely manner to meet the customer’s expectations. This assignment led to the cessation of all ongoing litigation and the client placing orders for $25M of additional equipment based on my team’s performance.
