PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Associate Litigation Attorney, Kajy Law, PLLC from March 2021 through September 2022. My roles was essentially taking deposition, research/writing, and trial prep and trying cases. I worked both from office and from home during this period.
Associate Attorney, AT Law, from July 2020 through March 2021. I defended numerous no fault matters in varying postures. I made numerous court appearances dealing with a variety of matters across our firm.
Partner, Kitch, Drutchas, Sherbrook, Valitutti, from July 2015 through July 2020. I defended litigated no-fault and worker’s compensation matters with great success. I tried both WC cases at the agency, as well as no-fault cases in a number of venues cases during this period.
Associate Attorney, Wigod & Falzon, PC from December 2013 through July 2015. As a litigation attorney I managed a team handling plaintiff’s side no-fault matters with great success.
Senior Attorney, Kopka, Dolin, Pinkus & Eads, PLLC from July 2012 through December 2013. As a litigation attorney I handled a variety of matters including no-fault, premises liability, insurance coverage and workers compensation matters for insurance companies and their insureds.
Associate Attorney, Davidson, Breen and Doud, P.C., from February 2010 through July 2012. As plaintiff’s attorney, I managed a high volume workers’ compensation, disability and other administrative law docket. I also handled the firm’s appellate program with a significant level of success.
Magistrate, Board of Magistrates, State of Michigan Workers’ Compensation Agency, from February 2006 through January 2010. I had the honor of serving at the pleasure of the Honorable Jennifer Granholm, as a Magistrate presiding over Worker’s Compensation matters. I successfully managed a docket in excess of 400 cases. I formally presided over all phases of the docketed cases. I conducted numerous trials and prepared well written thoughtful legal opinions relative to the outcomes of those matters. I presided over numerous benefit redemption hearings insuring statutory compliance. I conducted facilitations with a high level of success, thereby settling a number of difficult cases.
Associate Attorney, Phifer and White, P.C., in Detroit, Michigan from March 2004 to Feb 2006. I successfully managed a large workers’ compensation docket for automotive and large retail clientele. Additionally, I successfully handled numerous insurance defense liability cases in the areas of premises liability, ERISA, whistle blower litigation, ecclesiastical law, and landlord/tenant.
Pool Claims Coordinator, American Risk Pooling Consultants, Inc., in Southfield, Michigan from January 2001 to February 2004. I provided legal and litigation management services. I managed claims in all postures for municipal (public entity) self-insurance pools in South Dakota, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa and Illinois. My average case load was in excess of 200 litigated claims. I prepared detailed and informative reports for the pools’ boards of directors and reinsurance boards.
Associate Attorney, Sullivan, Ward, Bone, Tyler & Asher, P.C., in Southfield, Michigan, from June 1996 to January 2001. I handled all phases of insurance defense litigation. My principal practice areas included premises liability, medical malpractice, auto negligence, and family law.
