PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2022 Senior Research Engineer at TCPoly Inc. ( https://tcpoly.com/ )

• Estimated the cost savings by XPanelTM, based on 1000-CFM, ASHRAE data, and monthly energy usage through analytical analysis (MATLAB programming).

• Provided datasheet for XPanelTM, through experimental analysis for both cooling and heating modes.

• Developed a mathematical model to verify the relationship between effectiveness, flow rate, density, inlet/outlet area, wall thickness, and thermal conductivity.

• Developed a CFD model of the ERV core (Panasonic core size) for counter-flow and crossflow heat exchangers to study the effect of adding fins on the effectiveness of the core. 2021 Internship

Hammel, Green, and Abrahamson (HGA) firm, (https://hga.com/), Milwaukee, Wisconsin

• Developed and classified project lists through a data pool based on the project number, type, and completion date.

2017 – 2021 Research Assistant

Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL

Research Project: Alumni House Reconstruction (Interdisciplinary Teamwork)-NETZERO building project

• Developed the building energy modeling in eQuest software to find the hourly cooling load of the building.

• Compared the proposed system with an HVAC system for the same cooling load;

• Calculated the electricity generated by PV panels using System Advisor Model (SAM);

• Enhanced the performance of the system by installing a proper heat sink (thermal management);

• Developed the cost model for various operating conditions and decrease the electricity bill;

• Improved the thermal comfort of the occupants; and

• Co-authored a paper for the 2019 ASME-IMECE conference in Salt Lake City. Research Project: Numerical Modeling of the Thermoelectric Based Radiant Cooling Ceiling Panel

• Developed the ceiling panel model in COMSOL Multiphysics for numerical analysis;

• Studied the optimum number of TE modules and their placement on the panel;

• Enhanced the performance of the system using phase change materials (PCM);

• Maintained the temperature of the ceiling for an extended amount of time for both modes of operations to provide thermal comfort to the occupants;

• Improved the performance of the system by reducing the number of on-off cycles; and

• Co-authored a paper for the 2020ASME-IMECE conference in Portland, OR. Research Project: An assessment of thermal comfort for thermoelectric-based radiant cooling systems: a numerical investigation

• Developed the whole building model with ceiling panel in COMSOL Multiphysics for numerical analysis;

• Estimated the temperature of the air inside a room at different ceiling temperatures based on ASHRAE standard 55;

• Measured the air temperature at different heights of the room under natural convection;

• Calculated the PMV and PPD for thermal comfort analysis;

• Expanded the research for two different ceiling areas and TE temperatures (total of four cases);

• Fabricated a TE-based cooling system integrated with a small chamber to verify the numerical and analytical results; and

• Co-authored a journal paper based on the achieved results, ASME-ES 2021. 2017 – 2021 Teaching Assistant

Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL

Assisted in teaching the following courses: Heat Transfer Laboratory, Aerospace Practicum Laboratory, Materials Laboratory, and Computation Chemical Laboratory, MATLAB workshops. AWARDS

• Outstanding Student Award, College of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, Florida Institute of Technology, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
