•The Clinical workstation was used by doctors to look at lab and other test results in a real-time environment. This information was then processed and translated by IIS 4.0 for viewing in a web browser.

•Designed a high availability system for substrate testing in a class 100 cleanroom environment. This system was designed in Java and C++ to control a flying probe tester manufactured by IBM. The controlling process was created on an NT 4.0 workstation, which submitted processing instruction to an OS/2 host connected to the flying probe. The system submitted a test sequence for large area panel testing. Once the panel was tested, the results were stored in an MS SQL Server.

Responsible for all application development activities at UHC. Some of the key development projects included the Information Management System. This client/server software was developed for UHC members. Using MS SQL Server as the database and Visual Basic 3.0 for the front-end development, this system provided in-patient resource utilization information.

Data Collection and Analysis System were developed to collect in-patient data using FTP from UHC member sites. Once the data was collected, SAS verification reports were run to analyze the cleanliness of the data. The results were sent to member hospitals for re-submission of data. Once the data was cleaned, it was then risk-adjusted using SAS. The SAS dataset was then stored in an Oracle database as a data repository for further analysis. The Data warehouse system was used as the data repository of in-patient information and specific drug analysis. The data analysis was used to determine the best clinical pathways and to establish a frequency/duration and effectiveness of a delivery route. The data mart was designed and developed using Oracle as the backend and SAS EIS tools for analysis. Established standards for development tools and databases and created guidelines for interaction with clients for rapid development. Managed a team of programmers, technical writers, product specialists, and software application trainers. Instrumental in moving UHC from an Informix 4.0 standard engine to the Oracle 7.3 database.
