I would admit and assess all in coming residents to the facility. A head to toe assessment would be done along with assessment of wounds to determine proper treatment for healing. I used Point Click Care computer program to fill in appropriate information then make careplans to fit each resident. Then tasks would be made to direct the CNA's as to what care each resident would require. I would also have to do some staffing to fill in holes for call ins at the last minute.
I would also fill in when the facility needed to be on a med cart and do resident's daily wound care. I would have close contact with the doctor to get orders for the residents as needed and send residents out to an area hospital as needed. I would make frequent rounds to ensure residents were save and to monitor staff that they were following the quidelines set by the facility to care for each resident. I enjoy working with the older residents and I developed a good repoire with them.
