Job Position: Specialist Buyer - Procurement Department in Supply Chain Management.

Key Responsibilities includes:

Weekly Review of Customer Forecast, Demand & Supply.

Generation of Purchase Order report, as per weekly MRP output and updating status on daily basis.

Floating the RFQs to Brokers/Distributors/approved suppliers and negotiating with the help of quotations from different suppliers.

Negotiating with supplier to get Positive PPV (Purchase Price Variance).

Coordinating with Customer Supply Chain Manager and get the required approvals.

Finalizing the Logistics Terms and placing the order to the Vendor.

Following up with suppliers and get the on-time delivery confirmations for the Purchase Orders.

Managing Material Shortage report.

Interacting with supplier for the material shortage and demand matching.

Maintaining adequate inventory in warehouse for the hot part/Emergency material.

Enabling the Supplier Management Inventory (SMI) and RLT/JIT programs for controlling inventory of hot parts.

Reviewing forecast changes and working in advance to suffice the shortage.

Working on Pull in and Push Out of existing open orders based on demand.

Cancellation of open orders, in case of excess inventory resulting in $ savings and Inventory control.

Analyzing the Bill of Materials (BOM), and providing the status update of all the required items to the planning team, thereby ensuring smooth production run.

Timely action on Engineering Change Notification (ECN) from supplier.

Judiciously using premium freight to ensure parts availability in time for production.

Following with supplier for the materials which are not received or having Delivery discrepancies.

Interacting with Quality Team and clearing Discrepancy Material and Failed product on time, based on the Material Review Board (MRB).

Monitor supplier rejections and deviations, thereby, informing suppliers to take Root cause analysis, CAPA, 8D report, etc., and action upon accordingly.

Return to Vendor (RTV) in case of quality discrepancy.

Interacting with external supplier and internal accounts/finance team for invoice misalignments.

Communicating with internal customers and stakeholders in relation to process issues.

Participating and Driving Continuous Process Improvement activities.

Performing Master data clean up and confirming the correct Lead time in the ERP, every quarter.

Interacting with the Vendor Maintenance Team for Vendor Update/New Vendor Setup. Assessing the suppliers and decide the level for the supplier (preferred, tactical etc.,).

Coordinate with warehouse team and supplier to solve discrepancies involved in booking the parts like label issues and missing data’s in delivery note.

Works closely with accounts team to resolve invoice challenges.

Providing support to fellow team members and helping them with critical issues, by judicious and timely guidance, thereby achieving the required results.

SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS:

Maintaining an Average VOC of 4+ out of 5 from Customer for every quarter.

Conducted various class room training sessions, shadowing and buddy-up training, also by taking presentations and other process trainings.

Coordinator for Flex special internal operations and extra-curricular activities.

Received various appreciation e-mails from Planning team for On-time delivery and meticulous follow-ups on sudden demand situations.
