A Summary of my Professional Life

I have a degree in Production Engineering, I started my career as a Process Engineer, then I worked in the implementation of Quality Systems as a Quality Engineer (1991 to 1994) aiming to obtain ISO 9000 Quality Certificates and I also worked as a Quality Manager (1995 to 1998) always in Quality Systems implementation projects based on international standards in order to obtain the ISO9002 Certification from BVQI - Bureau Veritas Certification – Brazil. I worked on 3 implementations to obtain ISO 9000 Quality System Certificate.

Actually I started working with SAP QM in 1998, I have over 20 years working as an SAP QM and DMS consultant, I have done over 11 Full lifecycle projects, over 4 international Rollouts, numerous enhancement projects and I have worked on AMS (Application Maintenance Service) as well. I can communicate very well in English, Spanish and Portuguese (my native language) as I worked on international projects with SAP in Mexico, all of Central America countries and even in India (Pune City).

I am very used to working with teams from different countries, and I worked as an SAP consultant at major IT Consulting companies such as IBM, Teck Mahindra, Siemens Consulting, Plaut Consulting, Indra Consulting, Softteck Consulting and I did SAP projects at major companies such as Sony, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Siemens, Bayer, BASF, Novartis, AstraZeneca, GSK (GlaxoSmithKline).

I am currently working on a remote project with a European Consulting company called Scale Focus on a project in Bulgaria, we are using SAP4HANA version 1809.

My responsibilities in a SAP project are:

1-Studying client's business processes.

2- Recommending processes based on good manufacturing practices to satisfy client's business requirements.

3- Identifying gaps and recommending workarounds and custom enhancements to fill gap.

4- Configuring and customizing SAP QM module along with client's core team.

5- Providing guidance to client's core team members in understanding SAP functions and recommending standard process, my obligation is always to show and implement the standard SAP processes recognized as SAP Best Practices in order to realize a fit in standard IT solutions (SAP Best Practices) instead of custom build solutions.

6- Preparing work process documentation: Solution Documents after redesign the process (Business Blueprint), Configuration Documentation, Unit and Integration Testing, Business Process Procedures (BPPs), Training Material, and courses for end users.

7- Active participation in resolving issues throughout implementation cycle and after Go-Live.

8- Managing project activities relating to QM and integrated modules such as MM-PP-PPPI-SD-PM-CO-CS-PS.

9- Following the ASAP methodology for ECC and following the Activate methodology for SAP4HANA (1809).

In an SAP project I can implement many functionalities and I can redesign the Quality Department and the Quality Assurance System to take full advantage of SAP-QM and DMS using:

1.1Quality Planning: Inspection Plan – Routing – Master Recipe – Information system.

1.2Basic Data: QM catalogues, Inspection methods, Master inspection characteristics, Class characteristics, Sample Management, Dynamic Modification Rule, Deadline Monitoring (Batch Management), Production Resources/Tools, Work Center, HU (Handling Unit- GBT – Global Batch Traceability)

1.3Logistic Master Data: Batch (Batch Management) – Serial Number – Vendor – Quality Info Record for Procurement and Sales and Distribution.

1.4Quality Inspection: Inspection lot creation – Inspection result – Usage Decision –Inspection Lot Completion – Defects - Quality level - Batch Classification – Quality Control Chart (SPC-Statistical Process Control)- Quality Costs (QM Order). Sample Management.

1.5Quality Certificates: Incoming – Outgoing – Data transfer.

1.6Quality Notification: Costs – Catalogue – Solution Database -Workflow standard with SAP Office.

1.7 Quality Control: Information System and Report.

1.8Test Equipment Management: Test Equipment – Calibration Planning – Calibration Inspection – Maintenance Notification.

1.9Stability studies or shelf-life studies: Are conducted to track and examine how different environmental conditions (for example, temperature, brightness, moisture) affect a compound, a material, or a batch over a specified period.
