Cobalt Benefits Group LLC Customer Service Assistant Manager

January 2001 –May 2020

I first stated with the company as a receptionist making sure the people and calls were directed to the appropriate person or department. I moved up to the customers service department within a year. My duties were to answer questions and resolve problems for our clients regarding there health care policies and getting the best care based on the policy they have. I maintained knowledge of over 100 different policies as well as knowing other departments and what I can use from them to get our client the best care possible. Because of this I worked in the claims department as a Claims Auditor to gain knowledge. I returned to the customer service department, after a year of working in the Claims department, as the Assistant Manager. My duties were to train and monitor the other representatives. I assisted in hiring, reprimanding and terminating reps. I helped other departments with maintaining spread sheets and helping them understand documents and company knowledge. I worked closely with all departments and employees. I monitored phone calls and documentation for accuracy and quality. I monitored online client contact through the Blue Cross Blue Shield data systems and reported for accuracy. I designed monitoring protocol and spreadsheets to keep accurate records of the employee’s progress and knowledge. If there were areas that needed work, it was my responsibility to make sure the employees received the training they needed to become the best customer support group possible.

I left the company due to moving to Arkansas.

US Mailing/Villanti and Sons: Machine Operator and Sorter

1993 - 2000

Ran labeling and insert machines as well as sorting the mail as it came out by zip code. Bagged and trayed the mail, labeled the bag or tray and loaded onto pallets or carts to be collected by the postmaster.

I left the company due to an injury and could no longer lift 50lb. bags of mail and throw them into carts.

Spencer Gifts Inc.: Store Manager

1980–1991

I started as a sales associate in So. Burlington, VT and worked my way to Store Manager, transferred to my own store in Chicopee, MA then opened a new store in Holyoke, MA. I broke a company record for making over a million dollars on my opening day.

I left the company because of a family emergency where I was needed to help in the family company in their small engine repair shop. Once the company closed due to the passing of my Father in-law, I started a new job with US Mailing.
