I love this new job, but it is part time with 20-25 hrs p/wk.

August 9th 2016 to February 11th 2017. I started out working in Custom Framing, It was all-new to me, but I loved it. Helping customers with their special photos, and artwork to get it matted and framed is what I do. Whether it was an on the spot job of “While you wait” using our Readymade frames, or going through the customization process for to complete the look with our Custom Frame designs. The past month November 2016 I have been helping around the store in different areas, being a little “cross trained” which I feel is a great opportunity for me to be utilized throughout the store.

Started this wonderful seasonal job late in the season. It was my second job, as I still work at Hobby Lobby but the work schedule has been reduced to a minimum. It was great while it lasted. I worked in their Design Center, where they sell Rugs, from small little rugs to large room scale Rugs, the Jute room rugs. Also they sold valances, and table runners, and wallpaper, and other assorted home décor items, like lamps and specialty bulbs.

In the late 1970’s at the KMart in Grand Blanc MI I had the experience of being the Head Cashier over 14 registers. I was the 1st employee amongst all the managers in getting their (then) new KMart store open. In the setting up store process, I helped set up many of the different departments.

Prior to that I was at the former KMart that used to be on Pierson Rd Flint, MI I was a cashier there as well.
