The Office of Mohammed Al Guwaihes in partnership with Project Management International Limited was awarded a Contract in February 2014 by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to set up a Project Management Office (PMO Group 2) to provide Project Management Services associated with the construction of 11 Hospitals in Saudi Arabia to serve local Healthcare needs,The hospitals’ capacity ranges from 100 to 500-beds, with total of 2,200 beds will be developed as part of Group two program. At the beginning of the project, we prepare a cost plan outlining the expected cost of the project considering any expected VO or S/D orders identified based on our review of the bid documents and the need to meet local site conditions and to submit an operational building. We are constantly updating the cost plan in line with Engineering implementation. Then we submit the cost plan to the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health approves or request through the Mawaird system the required additional Project Budget.
Annual cash flow
We make sure that all contracts have sufficient annual cash flow, prepare, and submit annual cash flow requirements for Engineering in September for the following year, and advise the engineering affairs in October of each year with the required project budgets. If sufficient funds are not available, we contribute to the search for additional annual funding from engineering affairs. If it is not possible to secure an adequate annual budget for the project to meet the requirements of the IPC payments, we advise the Ministry of Health accordingly.
Variations and Claims
Reviewing and verifying first contract articles and the executive regulations of the Law of Government Tenders and Procurement of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in line with the scheme of procedures VO request for additional works to the scope of the contract. We review the change order and verify its completeness and that the contractor’s claim is a contractual change, We ensure that the costs and schedule for the effects of the contractual change are fair and correct and review the following documents: full description& justification of the VO,, approved technical submission &materials form, Ministry of Health change instructions (if any), Detailed account of any required EOT component Pricing document based on BOQ rates or 3 competitive bids Papers and drawings Price negotiation minutes of meeting Revised Supplier Offer No additional charges for final contractor VO BOQ (including agreed profit margin on supplier rates)
