As a CASA advocate for at risk kids in the foster care system, my duties consist of providing a voice and helping assist with children that are suffering from abuse or neglect or show signs of abnormal behavior. Advocates make sure to provide compassion, and individual attention to help the children find a safe and permanent home.

ADAC is a safe haven after school program for at risk children and adolescents in the community. As a program administrator I was responsible for maintaining a filing system, answering the phone direct messages. Maintain databases for funding sources, reconcile invoices to funders. Additionally, I’m responsible for documentation of appointments, incoming and outgoing and data entry assignments. When necessary I will attend meetings outside of the program and yearly training classes. In addition to that, I have mentored, tutored, participated in projects with children from ages 5 to 17. Furthermore, I had provided hands-on experience with the children in the after-school program where we implemented group lessons pertaining to FASD, bullying, monthly awarenesses, etc.
