Responsible for all financial matters including budgeting, forecasting and budget monitoring, maintaining accuracy of general ledger, Adding and updating chart of accounts, coordination of monthly closing of books, manage working capital (accounts receivables and payables), review and preparation of reconciliations (Bank, debtors, creditors and Intercompany-monthly balance sheet reconciliation) in Tally.
Ensure adequate bookkeeping and reconciliation, payroll administration and filing of tax return and other statutory payment.
Preparation of end of year financial statements
Prepare and produce monthly bank reconciliation statements for all bank accounts.
Handle and manage petty cash
Maintain both foreign and local purchases ledger for payment
Prepare and submit timely monthly, quarterly and year end reports to management
Manage debtors and follow up on outstanding payments by designing a collecion system which led to decrease in accounts receiveable by 87 percent
Successfully designed and lead implementation of change in inventory process, procurement, revenue, cash and bank, fixed assets acquisition and management. The cost savings in these process changes and implementation for example procurement, led to as much as 30% cost reduction in some instances. Inventory management controls resulted in an improvement of about 15% in gross margin with respect to the business unit that held the inventory. Treasury controls addressed the problem of cash not traced to the bank that existed prior.
