Responsibilities:

● Conduct off-stream and on-stream inspection on oil refineries, petrochemical plants, Gas treatment plants and oil treatment plant’s equipment including pressure vessels, Heat exchangers, tanks, PRV and piping systems according to API Company established policies & procedures and issues inspection reports.

● Conduct internal, external planned & unplanned inspections on all static equipment/facilities

(columns, drums, Separators, heat exchangers, Pressure vessels, flares and piping) and Tank to check condition of equipment. Includes noting observations on cracks, pits, thinning and any other pattern of erosion, corrosion and other interior failure. Makes interpretations of findings, analyses for failure, compiles written reports on its findings and recommendations puts in repair recommendations to user departments.

● Tank Bottom Plate Replacement by Jacking system, tank will be lift by jack to replace bottom plate fully as per approved documents.

● To check the jacking assembly supporting beam, supporting frame, lugs, base plate placed as per the approved drawing.

● IFR Rim seal replacement work has been carried out as per the approved drawings and vendor recommendation

● To check the jacking assembly base plate, spreader plate and landing plate grouting design as per approved drawing.

● Inspect Heating coil cutting, fit up, and welding as per approved ITP.

● Annular to annular plate fit-up and welding inspection as per approved ITP.

● Inspection should be carried out on Marking the cutting location of bottom and annular plate, heating- coil (if applicable), door sheet as per the approved drawings.

● Inspection should be carried out on all arc-gouged areas of the tank shell-to-bottom weld shall be MPI, and defective areas repaired and re-examined as per the approved ITP.

● To witness the Initial Survey (Plumbness, External settlement & Roundness) of the tank before commencement of Major repair work as per client requirements.

● Inspection of bottom plate, Annular plate, Door sheet & Heating-coil, fit-up, welding as per approved drawings & ITP.

● Inspection should be carried out on all temporary attachment and Mechanical damage locations as per requirements.

● External Inspection of Equipment- Earth cable, Anchor bolts for loosing/missing, Name plate for corrosion/Damages, Concrete support for crack/Damage, Gasket seating area for Mechanical damage, Man way Hook, Davit for Damage.

● To witness MFL, vacuum box inspection of bottom plate, UT thickness measurement of equipment, MPI/LPI, fit up inspection of insert plate and patch plate, and welding as per rehabilitation of tanks

● Carry out visual inspection of the shell man way, ladder rungs, vortex breaker and accessible boot and nozzles ID surfaces, partition plate, welding of longitudinal and circumferential weld, thermocouple damage, and inlet distribution pipes, filters, flanges, gaskets, and the condition of anchor bolts

● External Inspection of Equipment- Earth cable, Anchor bolts for loosing/missing, Name plate for corrosion/Damages, Concrete support for crack/Damage, Gasket seating area for Mechanical damage, Man way Hook, Davit for Damage.

● Carry out the joint integrity inspection management.

● Review of Previous and Current Inspection Report and calculate the Remaining life of Equipment.

● Carried out the corrosion Under Insulation Inspection (CUI) for the Insulated Equipment and Pipeline.

● To review all 510 initial NDT activities carried out on out of service Vessel and to recommend repair activities as per API requirements

● Reviews evaluate and accepting the results of radiography examination, dye penetrate examination, Magnetic particle examination and Ultrasonic examination conducted.

● To check condition of safety relief valves, prescribes repairs, as required and Witness relief pressure setting.

● Inspection and testing of all static equipment of process plants and pipeline and provides analysis of equipment condition.

● Perform UT Thickness / Scanning and visual inspection as required and compare with the previous document to note corrosion level, highlighting and submit.

● Initial visual inspection in open condition through man way or access through confined face entry to record condition of vessel and internal apartness.

● Detailed internal visual inspection after cleaning of the shell surface, bottom and top dish, all the internal welding joint, internal bore of all nozzle (after removal of product deposit or chocking), vortex breaker, impingement plate, baffle plate, demister pad & mesh, Agitators/mixers and vessel apartness.

● Inspect any completed repairs, modifications and/or replacement.

● Site inspection such as internal and external inspection of heat exchangers and carry out visual inspection of the tube bundle including the tube sheet, visible areas of the tube ID, baffle plates, slider bars, all welds and U-bend radius.

● After general cleaning, carry out a close visual inspection of the shell and channel ID surfaces including all nozzles ID surfaces, welds, and gasket seating surfaces, tube bundle including the tube sheet, visible areas of the tubes ID, baffle plates, slider bars all welds and U-bend radius.

● Identifying the type of corrosion/ deterioration to the equipment or piping and initiate appropriate monitoring methods in consultation with process and corrosion groups.

● Incoming welding consumables inspection and confirmation with related SFA specification.

● Piping welding activities as per the approval WPS and ANSI B31.3, Inspection activities as per the approval ITP and original construction code such as ANSI B31.3.

● Welding fit up, preheat and interpass temperature verification, welding parameters as per the WPS.

● Offering and witnessing NDT activities such as UT, RT, MPT and PT as per the piping line class requirement.

● Witnessing PMI (Positive material identification) for alloy materials.

● Interpretation of radiography films as per the SEC VIII, ANSI B31.3 & and API 1104.

● Offering and witnessing PWHT for the piping classes.

● Hardness measurement after the PWHT.

● Pre-leak piping walk down inspection.

● Witnessing base line TML (Thickness monitoring location).

● Structural inspection such as incoming raw material, consumables, review and approval of WQT and WPS, vender site inspection as per the approved ITP, final inspection and issue FIRN (Final inspection release note).

● Issuing NCR if non-conformance with the project specification.

● Preparation of test packages of piping as per system limits, coordination to incorporate the project procedures.

● Release of completed piping for hydro and pneumatic test after checking required completion.

● Witnessed hydrostatic pressure test for various piping classes after the repair work.

● Witnessed pneumatic pressure test for various piping classes after the repair work.

● Witnessed pneumatic pressure test for various pressure vessels, exchangers for given frequency.

● Witnessed for hydrostatic and pneumatic tests for newly fabricated various piping systems and classes.
