To whom this may concern,
I graduated from Saint Leo University in June of 2019, and I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. I have also obtained my master’s degree in psychology with a concentration on child & adolescent development. My experience fulfills the necessary qualifications as I am certain I am a fit for this position as I am great with time management, assertive, responsible, organized, dedicated, hardworking, flexible, committed, and self-motivated. My main career goal focuses on working with individuals and prioritizing their wellbeing.
While working as a nanny and lead teacher, I have worked with children of different ages who suffered from anxiety, sensory disorders, cognitive delays, and altered mood/behavior. Also, while working as a lead teacher in a daycare I have outstanding observation, listening, assessment, problem solving, intervention, critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills while working with children and families. I have several certificates I have obtained as a lead teacher such as shaken baby syndrome, mandated reporter, and providing a safe environment for children. Having knowledge of specific state OCFS regulations is a large benefit as an advocate, as I know what to look for and whether or not the circumstance is a violation related to physical and emotional health, and safety of a child’s wellbeing. While working as an administrative assistant, I have full knowledge of data entry and basic office skills such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and answering telephones.
Sincerely,
Alyssa Sesterak
