Collaborated with Placer County Mental Health Therapists in group therapy with students and family. Maintained detailed case manager reports on students. Work collaboratively with treatment team staff. Attended team meetings weekly. Ensured students were ready to transition back to district sites.
8/30/2009-6/30/2011- Quail Glen ASD class. Case manager for students. Structured classroom for more optimal learning space for Austic students. Maintained a safe classroom when students displayed aggressive behaviors. Worked on goals and objectives for students. Collaborated with paraprofessionals in class. Developed a process to handle aggressive behaviors in a safe and calm manner. Worked very closely as a team in the classroom.
8/30/2011- current Honour Schaps School at Placer County Juvenile Hall. Responsible for maintaining standard based instruction to a transitory population of students. Maintain and manage students with IEP’s, collecting information from all parts of California and outside of California to ensure IEP timelines are maintained. Managing and maintaining a classroom with a wide range of ages and grades. Provide emotional support and engaging lessons to help students re-engage back into their education. Adapt various sources of curriculum to help specialized a course of study for students needing specific credits for graduation. Maintaining grades and various reports to ensure students are receiving the correct classes. Working in a collaborative environment, not only as an educational team, but part of a team with Placer County Juvenile Probation. Learning to adapt to the requirements of working in a juvenile detention facility.
