Nurse Manager for Paediatric Department (NICU & Paediatric Ward)

• Participates in all aspects of the International Accreditation program

• Ensures performance of nursing practice remains in line with the facility, MOH, JCI and FDON policies, procedures and standards

• Oversees all daily activities associated with the effective operation of the NICU and Paediatric department

• Plans for efficient unit functioning to assure quality patient

• Initiates emergency, safety practices and fire safety measures as required

• Participate in the evaluation and review of staff, equipment and clinical supplies

• Contribute to and deliver outcomes as agreed in the UHS budget

• Participate in and manage recruitment and retention strategies within the NICU and Paediatric department

• Ensures all yearly appraisals and competencies are completed in accordance with appraisal and competency calendar

• Participates in performance plans with individual staff members, meeting with staff, reviewing practice concerns, providing required education, documenting performance plan outcomes and recommendations as assigned by DON
