Treasury Cash Management Accountant at SEFEM (August 2021 till Now)
Ensure the coordination of the statutory audit, year in year out, and resolve all possible queries
Ensure the efficient management of company’s bank accounts.
Maintain and manage all financial records, logs, spreadsheets, and registers.
Ensure the company’s banking operations; seeing to it that all funds are appropriately banked ensuring efficiency and returns.
Ensure conformity of company’ bank account with IFR Standards. Reconciling of bank statements against the GL, and clearing accounts assigned.

Daily reconciliation of cash and receipts.
Process cash advances, staff claims, and daily entry of receipts including cash, debit memos, advances and bank transfers.
Disburses all daily financial obligations such as (purchase orders, delegates’ transportation fees, car expenses. etc.)
Generate and deliver reports to different departments as needed.

Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, Customer service departments, and customers.
Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering corrections to customer accounts.
Resolve customer accounts by examining payment plans and payment history to determine if collection letters need to be sent out on delinquent accounts.
Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts, coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account, verifying totals, and preparing reports.
Assist other finance areas such as accounts payable.
Research and negotiate chargeback claims.
Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop payments or purchase order amendments.
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms.
Process check requests.
Respond to all vendor inquiries.
Assist in month end closing.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
